better to stick with it. they have surely been tested for performance.
  2. I wouldnt be using it for water changes, I would be using it as a constant "in/out" supply 24/7. If it needed heating i would run it through a elec/gas heat coil on the way through. that would be the ultimate. A true ocean in your house!
  3. A photo wont cut it.....theres positioning and all sorts, plus safety etc. Stick with your durso.
  4. Thanks Layton....The reason most people use DURSO's are because most people are not risk takers. They are followers.
  5. Durso's are noisy if you live in the sticks. If you live in town they shoud be fine.

  11. I got the smae problem with another small NUDI. except mine swarm my ZOOs. they dont seem to eat them, so Im not sure what they want, but they are a bitch to rid. I have to do the same. pull out the Zoos and dip for a little bit every couple of months. The problem is my Zoos are starting to spread onto the larger rocks... :-?

  17. what size base? if 12mm, should be cool for a week.
  18. Hey Duke, If the legs are sitting ON TOP of the ply then you wont need to brace the floor. Your joists are big enough to cope with it. The tank will be spanning across 2 x joists nicely. All good. If you notice the floor sag a touch, it still wont break. If it does which it probably wont you can easily jack that section up later anyway.
