  1. lol.....yet another breeding success from paul. congrats
  2. does anyone here breed albino swordtails? or mollies? just out curiousity. anyone keen on breeding them ? if you walk into a LFS and saw an albinos and the normals. which would you prefer? like albinos or dislike them...please share. i personally would say yes to an albino because they are rarity and i just love those hi fin red albino males.
  3. i found tetra species frys are hard to rear. they are too tiny and fragile. correct me if i am wrong. easier tetras to breed are glowlights, congo etc.
  4. i have a problem cutting big piece of glass, while i slip a pencil underneath the cut line, sometimes the glass doesnt break straight. is this because i didnt put even pressure between both planes, or i need a longer pencil or wood underneath?
  5. interesting list there Alan. true to that...theres not much price difference between normal and albino. got mine for $7.50 same as normal. (the staff knows nothing about the red eye  ) i saw some albino serpae tetra too in LFS with the same price. ah well, its not about money making business, its more to the hobby for me as albino guppies are quite rare in NZ. having bred a successful batch of albino gups will be quite an achievement for me i think.
  6. two of my male albino guppies (not the strongest looking but have potential i think). dont have an albino female for them...but luckily, i have many virgin golden female ready for them. i thought they are infertile at first but saw the male start chasing the virgins female today, who knows, i might have 25% chance. btw i am seeking albino female, if anyone have them in christchurch area, i would be interested.

  22. on first day i got these fish last week, i put 1 male and 4 females together and got 18 eggs in the mop. now the babies have hatched but not free swimming yet. one thing i cant figure out is they have stopped spawning after the first spawn. i checked my mop everyday and no eggs. are they not like lineatus which you can pretty much get eggs everyday constantly?
