Thanks Cookie, Yes I'm really lucky with some of the corals I've got, That one takes a good photo, but some of the others are better in person. Not getting as good growth as you, but growth none the less. Feel like the tank is really coming together now I'm enjoying the hobby more and more, as no doubt you are

    Photos Please!

It's going to be a jungle in there soon! Be keen to follow the progress!
  3. Well I've been out to Craigs, The whole thing is well thought out, well designed, and ruggedly built. Looking at it I really don't know how it could be improved, will provide a great environement for the livestock it will hold. And I finally learnt what a durso pipe is

Makes a lot more sense than some other theories I've heard recently

Layton do you take angry pills? BTW is that your own coral in your avatar?
  6. Interesting! I use fibonacci ratios for share trading, to figure out support and resistance levels for price. Does seem to be some kind of natural law, or at least, something the human psyche is tuned into.

    Photos Please!

Now I've found out how to crop photos I can do a pic of that milli frag that's showing excellent growth, I'll put another one up in a few weeks to compare
  8. After all the technical mumbo jumbo that's been posted over the last few days on the iron subject, and still left nobody any the wiser, I'm thinking it's maybe better to just focus on the simple things that will make for a healthy, attractive tank. I don't see a correlation between those who want to turn their hobby into an exercise in rocket science, ( well some of them anyway ), and the health of their tank. Me, I'm out of the iron debate, it's given me a sore head, that's about it. Maybe when I'm feeling better, and my long time protagonist has something to say that's worth hearing.
  9. Craig I'll be at your place Thursday 12.00. That's OK?
  10. Awesome Craig! Bet the tang loves it! Going to be fun stocking it! Going to be one of the real good ones
  11. Hows the house repairs?

Well sometimes there's special circumstances. But since getting these extra tanks running I've got a new appreciation for the cost of lightbulbs and electricity. With one tank it wasn't on the radar, but now I do have to factor it in. Also shown me how close to the bone it is for some importers and shops, they certainly deserve their margin, I don't even have rent or wages to worry about. (Or tax for that matter ) Oops! any IRD informants out there?
  13. Yes that is a good deal. I'll go down there and check one out. How was it for noise? I guess you don't want to keep the neighbours awake!

Ha Ha There is some truth to that! I've had to scale back the fragging on certain things eg. hydnophora, can't even recover cost.
  15. Where did you get the generator, and how much $ ? After the last few days I have been considering this, too much to lose.

Nah! It was just a joke But really this is a pointless argument, as said before I'm wrapping it up, at least until Layton finds out what his point is. So Layton - try to smile, and bro, keep learning! Cheers

I am feeling a strong urge to fly down to Christchurch and perform a full lobotomy on Layton. Only trouble then he would probably be smarter, and capable of really causing some grief.  Thanks Cookie
  18. Nothing yet. However I'm going to be more careful with future tests, something along the lines of what you suggested. Nothing to report at this stage, however there may be an update here in the future if, or hopefully when, I test some more carbon.

Actually I'm going to wrap this up as I've asked you many times what your point is and you will not answer. So it has been a completely unintelligent discussion, you obviously have no point. There are some people on this board who have healthy, nice looking tanks, with nice, colourful coral. Then there is other person who has a not so healthy tank with coral suffering from tissue death and looking like crap, and rock that had to be removed to be treated for excess nutrients. Sorry but bottom line is I'm only going to take advice from person with nice tank. Regardless of how persistant the other person is.

Not surprised, I doubt you even read my answers.

Again, I'm happy to answer. However I know you well enough to know that this will not end the argument. How do I know that? Because I have already answered both those questions for you in previous threads when you asked them already. But you took no notice, just continued argueing. So again, if you are trying to make some point, please say what it is.

Anything rather than say what your point is. What is it? Do you have one?
  23. wasp

Yes. But you are fudging again. What is your point?

Layton posts like that are just argueing for the sake of it. What is your point?
