i could bring it AKL to WGTN by air if you want, i fly in each monday at 7am.....
Have brought stuff for Pies in the past, just got to be a bit sneaky and not tell them what it is, they have funny rules about no animals etc....
who have purchased reactors, pumps etc etc etc from international mail order or internet sites?
which have you used and what have your experiences been like?
i spend 3 days a week with my tank and it looks after itself completely the rest of the week....
while automation is good, i sleep well knowing that simplicity is better....
i keep the heaters in the tank.... i have once found the lights stuck on for 72 hours... should no longer happen
better then not keeping a tank..
to use in an enclosed room as a large sump.
Looking for something up to 800 or 1000L
like a big bath, but plastic and quite light when empty for ease of moving it.
making it too complex is like parking your car on the railway track...
sooner or later a train will come
the engine will not start
and the doors will not open.
KISS
pies... go to ideal electrical on wakefield st
explain the inrush ammount, the contacter must use relays capable of that current..... the trigger current is negliable..... in fact you can buy contacters that trigger on 12 v dc or ac or 240v ac. you need the 240v ac type if you are going to use standard cheap timers.
spent 3 years at uni on this stuff.... it will work, its what it is designed for....... lots of spa motors etc use these to off load the switching from the timer... while you there take a look at the industrial timer units... about $220 tho for a 2 channel unit......
you can buy a contacter that will take the input from the timer, and use that to switch the MH on/off... about $70-80 from ideal electrical, you still need a timer tho to trigger them.
I have about 4 small coral things I would like to swap.
I will post piccies later this week a I have no idea of there technical names....
nothing exotic, just wanting to expand my collection
anyone else with piccies of things to swap? post away
thanks i get some this thursday then....
re your water, it always concerns me slighty that you get that colour when using NSW given the costs of petrol and distance from AKL to a clean source.. I am a big convert of RODI then mix......
quick question, where do you get your kalk from????
