  1. Spanish moss is cool and survives quite well in cages hanging from branches, also maybe some wind grasses ect.
  2. The enclosures look sick! the water dragon cage would be so much better with some plants though
  3. True but after seeing waihi/coromandel last summer i think the newts will mostly be feed from bell frogs
  4. Pretty good price http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/r ... 385859.htm
  5. I agree with the native geckos part, plus when you get the permit the geckos are FREE
  6. A few thousand dollars worth of equipment? i'd say you could get away with a heat pad for $40, old aquarium on trade me $30, and some calcium/vitamins for $20 :-?
  7. Thanks, i guess it was a pretty stupid post as i just saw how many times this has been posted. Sorry about that
  8. http://s1207.photobucket.com/user/exoti ... sort=3&o=1 http://s1207.photobucket.com/user/exoti ... sort=3&o=2 http://s1207.photobucket.com/user/exoti ... sort=3&o=0 Sorry took a while to get these bad pics haha, anyway the cage was pretty cheap around 200ish and has aluminium here and there for reinforcing. Make sure when you make a cage not to make the doors to small like i did and add pots of liquid under each support leg so ants have a hard time getting in. .
  9. Yeah i'm 90% sure it's $23 not $35.
  10. Why not pay with online banking?
  11. I'll try to get around to posting some pics tomorrow.
  12. I think it's about $20 now and it unlocks pretty much everything you need to know. They also send out booklets which have care sheets and other interesting things. Also if you create a thread on the paying members section asking for forest or green geckos, you're almost guaranteed to get some.
  13. Have you joined http://forum.reptiles.org.nz/? It costs a bit for the membership, but i found it very easy to find people with geckos.
