  1. There are some on trade me at the moment
  2. Na man it's actually really easy to get a permit, well for me it was
  3. Do not try and breed them because there are way to many atm
  4. sorry but i am now curious, can you please post a full pic of the cage. Very cool looking skink btw
  5. true, water dragons are worse though $80 from the iguana breeder
  6. 700, wow people are asking for 800+ with beardies :an!gry
  7. Thats so cool, not surprised though. A few months ago i saw a comment section on trademe with a guy selling a water dragon, talking about selling chameleons asking for 2000, cant remember if it was the same guy though?
  8. Sorry to wake such an old post up but does anyone actually breed these today?
  9. I'd like to shift my focus more towards natives in the future. Exotics been good for learning some basics. For know I just feel humbled to be feeding some of the nations rarest natives, through clients.
  10. one more question, when you bring the dragon home do you just fully leave it be for a few days and not feed it? thats what i have read in other forums
  11. So i will likely be getting a water dragon in a few weeks. it is a hatchling around 1-2 months and really small, do you guys think flies and moths (which i feed my geckos) would be a fine staple for a month or less, until i can get a stable breeding pattern with the locusts i have at the moment?
  12. Thanks sneaky, and no i will not try to rant back at you about this topic :slfg:. I am almost clueless when it comes to selling/breeding dragons........
  13. Alright thanks, just another question, why do beardies cost so much more than blueys/water dragons? Popularity? less breed?
  14. Has any one kept or had experience with a water dragon that could be hand feed or handled without to much problem? Cheers
  15. You need to sort out a person who is willing to give you geckos before you apply (at least in my area) You could ask doc if they know anyone but in the long run it's better to just join nzhs, you are pretty much guaranteed to get the geckos eventually.
  16. Same thing happened to me, but then i paid again and it was fine.
  17. http://forum.reptiles.org.nz/ fairly active but mainly for natives. and if you want to read the better stuff you have to be a paying member. I don't think there is another active forum.
  18. It would be cool if they could make permits for monitors/ other reptiles. They could do it just like as doc does for geckos ect, i think it would work personally.
  19. I don't really understand why there is a problem having monitors and iguanas in New Zealand when we have cats and other common pets running around the back yard killing native birds and lizards. For example when i lived with my grandparents there were tons of geckos and skinks behind the house, then after the next door neighbor moved in with two cats i never saw any again... :an!gry
  20. Wow very lucky, how far away is the footpath from your house?
