yeah i noticed they were all around a petal that landed in there, there was a dead adult in the bucket this morning?

yeah larvae, might stop the feeding tonight, lol. got about 15 guppies, 4 neons and 2 keyhole cichlids, and they are just smashing them back! mind you they are still hunting round for them :slfg:

umm also can you feed fish mosquitos every day? and how many can i feed the fish??

ahh that sounds like a plan!!! now can i fill up the bucket up with tap water or does it have to be tank water?

oh ok, i scooped my fish net through a little bit then tiped it out in to a bowl with sum tank water, then i found i had a syringe and tryed to get them out that way, got a few and man did the fish love them!! just thought theres got to be a better, quicker way?

hey guys and girls, have found a massive amount of mossies in the bottom of a contaner which had a plant i was given. what is the best way to get the little buggers with out all the mud and crap?

hey guys, has anyone got clown plecos here in nelson?? i have a lovely male (98% sure) who is fanning everytime i see him, wood love to borrow a female for him, if ya can help me?

+1 for goldfish, brought a commet i think for about $5 he was tiny,from lfs, 10 years and 2 tanks later hes still going, plus he eats any other fish thats small enough to fit in his mouth, :facepalm:

yeah the mini ramshorns look close. cant put loaches in, they wood eat my fry wont they? tryed putting in a lettuce leaf last night and pulling it out in the morning, read the snails will flock to the lettuce easy way to keep the numbers down, well not to shore if that will work as i pulled it out this morning and bang! 1 snail!! i can still see about 20.

camera is down, working on finding a pic on the net, no luck yet finding anything close, the ramshore? looks to be the closest but not that big and the shells of the ones i have are flat, i'll keep looking :nilly:

hey guys, didnt know where to post this, hope here will do. anyway ive pick up snails from a peace of driftwood from the lfs, they are really small at what i take as full size as i havnt seen any over 3mms, most are see though, and what i take as the older ones are a brownish colour, so any thoughts as to what there name is and how to get rid of them?? they are in my bristlenose fry tank,

i know, i know, but they must be happy enough as they have been in there for over a year and they are breeding!

even 15cm is to big for me, i have a ar 380 that the fry and the l002 are in, and a ar620t that the mum and dad are in with 4 goldfish,

gold nugget pleco max size 35cms+, dont have room for that.

some of us dont have huge tanks to house the big plecos, :digH:

the mum of these guys is really small she maxed out at like 6-7cms and im shore shes the one carrying the gba or albino gene (shes a brown)

oh no, ask 2 lfs if they would be keen 2 take them off me, they said no, and i dont think i would be able to sale them by myself, HELP!! :digH:
