  1. I have 3 blue dolphins from ryan that i am growing out. They will be goin in a 5ft male hap/peacock tank. I am wondering at what size could i put these dolphins in the 5ftr. They are prob about 4cm. There is nothing to nasty or predatory in my main tank. Coupla snotty peacocks and a 10+ cm kadango and 1 dem and 1 albino auratus which are a little aggro. I don't think they would get eaten but I wonder if it may be a bit to boisterous for them as there is a lot of chasing and the peacocks can be a bit aggro. Should i maybe hold off until they are a bit bigger round the 5cm mark, or throw them in and see what happens. The moori get the water changed every 2nd day in the grow out tank to help with the growing, do you think putting them in the main tank now may slow down their growth?

    new tank

i agree, i have been trying to get some lithobates for ages but just can't find anyone breeding them, fingers crossed yours start soon ryan
  3. Looks like its working well goin off those pics, fish look awesome. I guess having the extra length and overall volume help to give them all some space. I don't have that luxury in my 5ftr i think if i added multiple males of the same species in my tank would cause a meltdown. I have similar stocking to yours, no yellows but growing out a small colony of rustys at the moment and some dolphins as well need to bring my numbers up to hopefully curb aggression. There is constant chasing and its not just the one fish but about 4 or 5 who are constantly harrassing others, the azureas and steveni get bullied non stop, and my baeneschi hybrid has started throwing his weight around.
  4. So are you keeping multiple males in the tank at once. What i mean is do you have groups of azureas males in the tank. What are the dimensions of your tank? Or do you have one in the tank at a time and keep the other males in other tanks?
  5. barry white. i picked him for more of a michael buble kinda guy
  6. 7th pic down, is that an azureus, his colour is insane. Is he in an all male tank or with a breeding group. Mine has no where near that sorta colour, he gets bulied alot and has no chicks to impress, that ob is awesome as well.
  7. Wow, great pics of some stunning fish

what are the chances of them crossbreeding with the haps and peacocks?

    yellow labs

I am having a few aggression issues in my 5ft all male peacock/hap tank. I don't really want to add more peacocks and i don't think my tank is big enough to house anymore haps. Am thinking of getting a small coclony of yellow labs to bring the stocking level up abit as i only have 11 fish in the tank. I was thinking about 6 to 7 fish. what do you guys think, also can we get or do we have acei in the country?

Hi, am runnig a 5ft malawi tank with a 3ft aq1 single tube light. The bulb is due for replacing. It is an aqua glo 18000 K t8. I do have some java fern as well. I would like to go with something that is not as bright as my current tube as i think it is to bright. When the fish are in front of it at the top of the tank the light kinda washes out their colour. Can anyone give me any ideas on what they use, what are the blue tubes like? Also does the K rating refer to the "brightness" of the tube?.
  14. awesome ryan stoked to hear u have some. Definately put me at the top of the que for some, have been after these guys for ages. Any chance of some photos? would be interested to see them as i've only seen pics of firenz. Are they difficult to breed?
  15. Is anyone out there breeding these guys or know of anyone breeding them. Am trying to track down one for my malawi tank pref male but will buy fry to grow out. They had some at hollywoods but they didnt look that nice, Looking for ones with the bright yellow blaze and yellow forehead, if fish have foreheads?
