  7. does anyone make there own D.I.Y leopard gecko hides that look nice :slfg: ? also because commercial hides are so expensive! is terra cotta pots or clay (granny a potter so could make) safe for reptiles? and terra cotta pot make good hides if cut in two? :dunno: and filled with moss? photos would be great from anyone who has had experience with this! cheers mason p.s. they have to blend in/look good as set-up in living room! :facepalm:

  13. Hey, I read somewhere that if the tanks to big the leopard geckos stray away from the heated area? Is a Four foot terrarium to big for 3-4 leos? what would you recommend for heat source? Heatmat or a bulb? cheers Mason

Depends of what frogs you gonna get Golden Bell fogs or Whistling tree frogs? bell frogs grow big! so require a biggish tank! for tadpoles all you need is fish tank full of water and some sort or food e.g. green algae or brine shrimp! As i said before captive tadpoles do alot better than wild caught ones because they have lived in a fish tank for a while!
  15. Its easier just to get them from pet-shops as tadpoles so that they grow up use to fish/tanks or whatever your gonna keep them in ! if you take them from wild they get very stressed and often die!!! :sage: But you can check pounds and troughs ! :slfg: you might fluke it!

  21. I know I all ways have a great idea &c:ry but have to do school work !! damm NCEA level one!!! :facepalm: I want to get a culturing running for my grannys frog tank!!! Will have to wait after exams !!! What would be the best food item for a small population of 7-9 cm bell frogs ? on a half land, half water set-up? sorry for hijacking the topic! :smot: Cheers
