I've already have atleast 2 ball per plant sector that i have in there, ive got dwarf sag, tiger lotus, star grass, rotala macrandra, and moss, ive got 2 t5ho lights thats 54w each have diy co2 going and the tank is 200liters. cant figure out why all my plants seem to start off well then slowly deteriorates so im thinking to just restart and try do everything right from the start.

ive been thinking about remaking my planted tank as it first started off with no substrate nutrient mix in it only gravel. i remember seeing a post that said something about having daltons aquatic mix with sand on top of that and then gravel?

haha thanks, always been wanting to do it, actually turn out pretty good, its slowly covering up the mesh now the only thing about a moss wall is that it gathers alot of "dust" so if i was to give it a pat the tank will be filled with bits and stuff everywhere if left alone it looks real nice

just saw today that theres a patch missing on the flying fox, there was the bit of skin hanging off, never had hole in head before so not sure if it is? and is it contagious?

nah it was just the moment as the photo was taken she looks fine its just the colour thats off

okay so on day 4, ive done a water change and treated with prazi again, but this time on feeding bloodworms i soak the blood worms in prazi to feed them to make sure they get it in them. now they all seem fine just that the female once a while seem like shes got a itchy head and scratches on decos and rocks cant seem to see any spots on her nor can i find anything on the net about fish having a itchy head, any ideas?

she used to be as white as the other mollie but after shes given birth for the 2nd time shes gone to a darker muddy colour, shes given birth again just yesterday is that something to do with it?

its been sitting at 7.8 ish now day 3 not sure if i should wait til tomorrow to do water change or just do it now as it said a water change should be done 3 days AFTER.. but today at feeding after she taken a small mouth of blood worms she started having some kind of a seizure or something first started twisting and turning on the spot then she started swimming all over the place like shes getting a way from something and shes kind of hit/graze pass the deco's and rocks. now im starting to think its more than just intestinal thing..

am i suppose to do a water change everyday? cause i was thinking of doing one on day 3 cause thats what it said on the prazi bottle and then treat it 2nd time after the water change. but anyways heres a photo of her as of just now, shes normal at a corner like that and once a while the male will come over as if hes trying to look after her and see if shes ok, and until she starts to move he just swims around her.

day 2 after treatment, at feeding the female was just still in a corner mid level on the tank, after few minutes she came around for some blood worms and then back to the same position still all fins folded not as well as yesterday but atleast better than before.

okay so day 1 after treating with prazi and a slow 25% water change, at first in the morning the female was till the same and the male is full back to normal but after a wee while during feeding the female came up and tried to take the pellets but both of them seem to have no "teeth" as they try to chew and end up spitting out whole, so i then tried bloodworms and it was perfect, so so far so good.

yup that would be great if you can, but i ll see how they go in the next few days with the water change and prazi

just got some prazi from HFF, should i treat with that and see how it goes from there? its just the two fish in the 800liter the males fine now just the female thats having problems

ill try doing the water change today but if i do a 25% the water temp will prob go down quite abit on the 800liter atm the glass themo says 27-29 but the heaters are set to 25-26 and if i do water change the glass themo wil go down to 24-25 would that be ok?

thanks for all the tips, as i checked them today, they both came up to surface waiting for food and as i fed abit of cichlid gold the female took pretty much 6,7 large pellets at once and at that point i thought they recovered, but then she suddenly spat it all out after trying to chew it and then just lost interest so i was thinking she had injury in her mouth but i couldnt see anything, the males back to normal swimming around waiting for the left over food to go soggy and take it real slowly, the only thing i notice of the female that i never seen before was that she twitched her dorsal fin a few times, but only saw her doing it once and now shes just back to "hovering mode".

but i had dosed with parzi maybe just a month ago? cause i was thinking that the male might had worms since he wasn't really into other food other than cichlid gold, so should i dose again?

yea, have tried blood worms and nothing, what can i do about intestinal problems?

and nothings changed, pretty much its a daily schedule feeding twice a day with hakari gold and cichlid staple and weekly water change.. the only thing change just recently was that i feed also new life jumbo fish formula but i dont think thats the case? or would they have a upset stomach

but the thing is they dont come around when i come to feed anymore they just stay bottom, just now i thought the female died cause she was so still...i checked the water parameters and everything was on perfect, really dont want to lose any of the two..got attached to them so much :tears:

its the second day that i notice my female jaguar gone quiet today shes just hiding under a slate/cave as well as the male on the another one, just few days ago the female was bulged with eggs and they were courting, but nothing happened i think so now are they just having a cooling off period or what? cause they not interested in eating or anything just sitting there normally its the male that does that and the female always just chops and chops everyday on the food...no signs of any injuries so im abit concerned

it would eat flakes and bloodworm just tried peas the skinny one would take it but this one just tastes and leaves it =/ gonna try again tomorrow if it still wont take it ill try the salt solution i guess

must be constipation then...what do for that? feed it peas?

i got a two sae's in the tank just today i noticed one of them is much fatter than the other and as i looked closely i saw its scales were fliped out? not sure if thats the word to describe it but here it is on the photos...

is there a common name for the above? other than the hair grass?
