  1. Hollywoods had one about 6 months ago , Brendan
  2. I have a 600 - 700 litre tank if your interested. Brendan
  3. I have been talking to the guys in Germany, they have told me an english information sheet on zeovit is been prepared at the moment. As soon as i receive it i will post on this website and hopefully it will clear up some issues. Hope this helps. Regards Brendan
  4. And thats exactly the reason why i don't " stick around " and post unrelated replies !
  5. Once again layton, maybe your zeovit supplier wouldn't have a clue what he is talking about. No one else who uses zeovit seems to have the same problems you have. Maybe it is because you keep changing your tank around. You have never asked me about your problems with the zeovit and i am the official supplier of zeovit in NZ/Aussie. that to me is very strange. Does your supplier help you out with the problems ? Or does he recommend changing every parameter in your tank every second day ? You won't have much success with this method, you have to be patient in this hobby ! Brendan
  6. Ahhhhhhhhhh, i was wondering why you needed to know where i got my bulbs and ballasts from the other night. Brendan
  7. Hi Chimera, I wasn't really trying to sell anything. Just taking the piss ! I can get Grotech reactors and media at a good price, but i am sure someone else can beat me Give us a email if your interested tho. Regards Brendan [email protected]
  8. O pies, don't i get a mention ? Brendan
  9. Layton, we have had this discussion before. Your secret supplier does not know how to use the system. You seem to think you know how it works and you don't. The way you are using it is nowhere near the proper way. Maybe if you used it as i say, you might start getting results. Some people think they have university degrees in zeovit. If they listened to the official seller of zeovit in NZ they will get results. What else can i say ? Brendan zeovitnz/aussie
  10. And a good nitrate remover at that.
  11. "Just quality water and low stocking of tanks". The sign of a real professional reef keeper who just happens to use zeovit.
  12. They are very nice corals !! Check these out. An aquarium run on the zeovit method in Germany http://www.aus2000.privat.t-online.de/11314.html
  13. Yes, 5 % water change is fine. Don't use to much carbon and do not use other phosphate removers. Brendan
  14. Mark, After the 14 days stop adding the bac and food. I would recommend to keep adding the zeostart at 2 mls every second day.
  15. O well, carry on ,as you know best. Good luck. Brendan zeovitnz/aussie
  16. Thats what happens when his supplier dosn't know what he's talking about
  17. It works perfectly for me. Come up with a few sketches on how it should look and i will pass them onto Thomas Pohl in germany. Maybe , you should of bought the proper pump for an extra $50.00. It would have made life a lot easier for you and me Brendan zeovitnz/aussie
  18. Layton, I am some what concerned about how you are using your zeovit. Do you have any instructions on how to use it ? You should be adding 5 drops of zeofood not 5 mls. I would also cut back on your usage of zeostart to maybe 2 mls every second day. Any other questions, don't hesitate to contact me if your supplier is being unhelpful. Regards, Brendan zeovitnz/aussie
  19. I have never had an outbreak of algae when using zeovit. Iron in the zeovit is not a problem if your tank is well run. I even dose iron every second day as a supplyment ( made by korallen-zucht ). I would have thought this would be a big no no if iron was leaching out of the zeovit. RTN is RTN, unfourtunately it can happen anytime ( usually when you are on holiday ). We still don't know what causes it and how to stop it. I have only had it once since using zeovit and that was about 2 months ago when my chiller failed and the temp went to 32 c, only lost a couple to rtn and quite a few bleached but are still hanging in there. I would recommend the people using zeovit to use it as per instructions on the bottle. Don't fiddle with the quantities until you are better at using the product. Regards, Brendan zeovitnz/aussie
  20. Hang on guys, don't panic. You have said yourself that zeovit can take up to 9 months to show good results. Why does it take 4 days to show negative results ? First thing you should do is post your parameters as of tonight. We need to know : Salinity pH KH Calcium Magnesium Temperature. Phosphate How long has your tank been established and have you done any major changes to your tank other than adding zeovit ? Also are you adding any other trace elements and are you using any other phosphate removing media. How much zeovit media do you have for your 700 litre tank in your filter ? Brendan
  21. One other thing i would recommend is to not put activated carbon in the zeovit reactor. The water flow will be to much and the activated carbon will strip the aquarium of trace elements and other goodies to quickly. This can result in death for some corals. I have my activated carbon in a low flow zone of the sump and this works just fine. Brendan zeovitnz/aussie
  22. Yes, alois is right, i have my reactor sitting in my sump. When i stir up the media each day, i turn the pump off, then remove the lid, then turn the pump to the reactor back on so the water is spilling into the sump. I then pull on the staff without the media coming out and let the media drop back on its own accord into the reactor. This method seems to stir up the bacteria and releases the bac into the aquarium. The corals then put out their feeders and feed off of the bac. The corals seem to love what ever is coming out. Yes, i would have thought that the more media in the reactor the less water flow. I think they have designed the reactor the way they have, is to encourage people to stir up the media every day without having to remove nuts and bolts. My reactor has worked fine with the original aquabee pump. Hopefully it will carry on Brendan zeovitnz/aussie
  23. The grotech zeovit reactor is sold with a pump that pumps around 2000 litres an hour. It is designed for this flow rate only. If it is modified and used with a pump that pumps 3500 litres an hour like in "Cisco" case the water will struggle to come out the outlet without putting strain on the o ring. I personally use the reactor with the pump that is recommended and have had no problems with the lid coming off. The lid is designed to come off quickly and frequently to enable the daily stirring of the zeovit media. Regards, Brendan zeovitnz
  24. Hey Nick, At work we have depleted uranium to help trim out the aircrafts. I am going to steal some of this and bottle it. This new product is going to be called zeoglow. An estimate of the price : 50mls of zeoglow $5000.00 If you don't want to buy it i can sell it to Bin laden. Regards, Brendan
