Yes I am looking at Africans plants so far Anubias var.nana, Vallisneria and some Java fern are these ok

I am looking at African cichlids I will put up some pics when rocks are all in place and some plants

Tank is full all is good substrate in and some rocks need more rocks some plants on their way :happy2: :happy2:

Its 450 litres 5ft long I am really excited

My tank has arrived from the North Island all intacted I am over the moon it is just beautiful getting ready to set it up will post some pics when all done :happy1: :happy1: :happy1:

I boiled the coral for 10mins and gave it a light sand and the roughness has smoothed off a bit it feels good not too rough and my tank is on its way be here Wednesday the truck drivers said it was well packed sometimes they get tanks not wraped at all and they said they have not had a brakeage so I am feeling really confinent it will arrive in one piece fingers x I am looking at getting African cichlids I was told they would be the best to get for my first aggresive fish would you agree? plants I know Java fern,Vallisneria and the Anubias family would be ok do you have any other suggestions cheers Joy

No I ended up buying the tank I originaly wanted I just fell in love with it 450 ltrs it is on its way be here Tuesday I probably paid too much for it $1.500 + $400.00 delivery but it was what I wanted and now I am so looking forward to setting it up

I am setting up a 450ltr African ciclid tank the tank has a black lid and cabinet I was thinking of getting black sand but do you think this would be too much black what about the golden sand or the white sand any suggestions welcome thank you

Hi thank you for your reply it is an AquaEl 450ltr with a black cabinet Eheim 2329 professional filter 4 lights 2 are sera plant colour lights and a marine aquavac

All the ones I have looked in the South Island I don't want I really like the look of the tank in the North Island and I think it is a good buy $1,500 plus $350.00 for shipping it has a lot of equipment and I have seen it new for $1,000 more just the tank The trucking company I am looking at deals in fragile equipment they have put me at ease on their end they will wrap it in a blanket and tie it with straps to the inside of the truck as well as the seller is going to put polystyrne and bubble wrap do you think something should be put inside the tank? thank you so far for all your help I appreciate it Joy

Hi yes you can see the scratches I can't stand looking at it so my son bought the tank from me cheap I still have the cabinet and am in the process of buying another Aqua one AR980 or the Aqua one AR 980T which is 30LTRS more still trying to make up my mind but thank you all for your replies much appreciated and yes a very expensive lesson learnt

Hi can anyone help me I was so stupid to use a household green scrub pad to clean the inside of my tank and now have a lot of fine scratches my tank is an Aqua 1 980 is it glass or a hard plastic? I have got a water rubbing compound that is used on cars will that work any help much appreciated
