Hi has any one put a sump in a freshwater tank around 500 to 600 ltrs if so how do you go about doing that what all do I need ?

Hi everyone I am thinking about getting a new aquarium I am looking at around 650ltrs I dont know weather to get one with 2 cannisters or a sump it will be for cichlids what do you think would be the best to buy with 2 cannisters I am thinking extra maintenance !!!!!!

Hi fishy people I have 2 beautiful blue dolphins they are around 7" long sometimes they will fight and was just wondering if I was to get some more females will that help stop the aggression I have 6 females now in a 450ltr tank

Hi I have been experimenting with food coloring by putting the black color in my cemix mortar to give it a darker look for my rock background it works great the question is is it safe for fish Im guessing it is seen as it is safe for humans but just want to make sure

what would a male dolphin that size be worth

Hi I have 9 blue dolphins 2 of about 6" long one I know is definitely a male the other I think is but not sure they are circling each other then lock lips with a splash are they fighting

Fantastic I will give it a go your way thank you for the information It will be going in a cichlid tank at the moment I have black substrate in there it is all coming out so am going to be doing a complete revamp on my tank putting in a mixture of silica and coral sand thats on its way now to find another tank at least 100ltrs or more to house my fish for a couple of days till it is all done will post some pic will not be untilafter new year before I start

yes thank you Fulton Hogan have the silica I will be getting some tomorrow and the coral sand I just bought that off TM expensive but I wanted it thanks for your help

I have snails in there at the moment to airate the gravel will that work with the sand

I have blue dolphins and pink convicts 2 yellows I was also looking at aragonite how would that go it is quite expensive though

Is silica sand ok for a cichlid tank mixed with coral sand I have heard sand can ruin your filter is this right at the moment I have black very fine gravel and want to change to the white look thanks

Hi thanks for your reply it is an Eheim twin feeder 3582 it does say after 6 days feeding it goes into 24 hr pause so if I was to set it for 1 feed per day it will go for 6 days

Hi I have just bought an eheim twin fish feeder have it reasonably sorted but finding the instructions a little difficult to understand i have set it for the times i want to feed so what does it mean by random feeding and how many days will it feed for can someone explain each step for me with a bit more detail thank you

yes the white face heron he has just been again we frightened him off we have 2 small dogs papillons they have scared him before when they are not having a siesta LOL we do have an ornamental heron but he does not seemed to be bothered by it so how deep would you say the water would need to be before he would go in it I am hoping I will only need to put the gut around the shallow end thank you
