  1. Or small children based on the size of that mother!!
  2. Water garden are running, and had lilies last time I was there. We've just found organism for fish, seem to have a good selection so far.
  3. ooo, haven't been on for ages and find this! Happy belated Birthday!! :happy2: :happy1:  :nilly:
  4. I would never let a carrier company move my fish, we've always done the tank and occupants ourselves. We put them into several big buckets half filled with a tight fitting lid, then as soon as we get where we are going we chuck an air stone and heater in the bucket till we get it sorted out. Last time we also took 2 big rubbish bins half full of tank water as well so everything wasn't starting fresh .
  5. That definitely doesn't stop the water sloshing out. We have a lip right the way round our 1000l turtle tank, water sloshed out in September, February and June, surprisingly not December though.
  6. I've spoken today with 2 people who have had them as pets, I'm not sure the neighbours will appreciate them to be honest. If they get pithy about the odd dog bark I don't think a screeching parrots gonna fly lol!
  7. I'm after info on sun conures. Trying to find if there's someone in chch that has one I can visit before I commit to buying one. I've been googling and you tubing and I'm sure I can stand the noise but before I inflict it on my family for the next 20-30 years I wanna be 100% sure .
  8. Rats! US based ones are chatting about stuff we can't get here, makes me feel neglected on my birds behalf :slfg: .
  9. Ha! I asked this exact same question on another forum today! Did you find one?
  10. I've posted on their Facebook page, was coming on to let people know to do the same.
  11. I wouldn't, can you carry them on? Those bags are given hell, I've had several torn open, wheels ripped off the works!
  12. Right, hitting here and Hollywood fish farm today , thanks everyone!
  13. When we were at tower junction last week they had 6 tanks quarantined. I refuse to buy fish from there now, they are overpriced and scrawny . Used to be awesome when hubby and I started too, such a shame.
  14. Cause you know I can't spell plescosta-whatever...are the bristlenose suckies live bearers or egg layers? I've just found a teeny tiny baby in the tank and don't know whether I should be looking for eggs or other bubba's? Thanks
  15. We've got 3 Animates here and whenever I look into the fishtanks at out local I always see diseased fish. I tell them they have sick fish and always get the "I'll tell the fish guy as soon as he gets back" line but I'm never there to see it .
  16. Hubby and I will be up for the U2 concert soon, and we have all of Friday free...where's a good place to go to oogle/buy fish?
  17. A lot can happen in 3 years, and if the price goes down you're screwed!
  18. Nope, the most we've ever paid for powershop power was 23 cents per unit, the least 9 cents. We've gone from having over $500 bills in winter, to this last one the biggest we had was just under $300. That's one heck of a difference for doing nothing different but change power companies. If you don't buy the power yourself, they automatically buy it at the lowest normal price (that isn't the best deal tho, that's when it's on special which it always is). Hope that helps .
  19. Check out if you can get powershop! No fixed daily charge, and I just got power on sale the other day for 16 cents per unit.
  20. Damn, will it still work ok with white or have I just wasted 2 cups  .
