What type and size T 5s ? Looks real good I think I'll have to invest in some T5 s .

Do these shrimps clean fish like cleaner shrimps as I have a fish that sits outside the shrimps cave and keeps asking to be cleaned but it does not seem to want to clean the fish ,may be dotty back thats causing it to be nervous?

One problem is you are not taking water from top of tank and so will end up with oil film on water surface.

after one week and one extra 250 watt 20k halide. I still need to move the existing halides further to the side and possible add some T8 floro's

Lights looking at tank last night now its cleared I feel I need more light but can't decide I have old 250 but would not look good over tank. Would 3 150 w lights do or leave 2 x 150 and get T8 floro as well ?

Used both 70% artificial.

I have an old 250 w I might try later .water looked a lot clearer this morning I but in two bags of charcoal and one had moved to block the tank return so water was being sucked thru charcoal.

Moved everything over today to new tank .Bubble coral may not servive has been looking a bit ragged in holding tank lost a sps due to galaxia did'nt spot the long tenticals in time but managed to save a couple of cutings off the end .

Changed Pump to a Laguna 7 and put it next to sump , changed piping back to tank to presure piping and I'm getting 3600 L an hour . Increased duroso stand pipe to 40 ml and this has made big difference in controling water highs by size on hole at top of duroso. Tank is full of water and I will be swapping over rock fish and corals soon.

I will not be using UPS just into a power point in garage . I have been doing some plumbing for tank today and did test with pump all seems okay I am pumping 2250 liters an hour back to tank which is turning over tank 3.5 times per hour .tank size 643 l and sump 162 l.

I have instaled lights back over tank two 150 w halides , have got new sump 1m x .6 w x .45 h .Painted back of tank (well got 8 year old daughter to do this) black . But just a question to those with remote sumps were do you control the return pump from , tank or sump or both.I 've always had sump under tank so if any overflow problems everything is there but if the pump is under house I'm either going to wire pump to garage or thru floor to tank.

32 mm I measured inside diameter and that was 28.

the pipe to pump is 32 mm drain and from pump to tank is 28 mm presure pipe.Sump will be 600 to 700 mm above pump .Head is 1500mm and pesure pipe is 2100 mm in lenth with two 90 degree bends. juse been drilling holes and checking out location of pump.

water will be gravity fed to pump so piping to tank from pump will be about 2 meters at 1.75 head with two 90 degree bends .

The base is going to be open and all equipment will be in the garage 10 m away for now I'm going to use existing 1262 eheim pump and gravity feed return water to pump which will be located under floor beneath tank so pump only has to pump 1.75 m head and will have two 90 degree bends . Correction to size 1400 x 750 x 700 sould hold 700 liters
