Just went to strip the remaining fry from the cuckoo dem (only removed one fry last week as i thought they were a bit undercooked) and found only dems his time. 5 legit dems. i could of sworn i saw a couple of yellow looking tails in there last week. Anyhoo got 6 dem fry and a bristlenose yay! :bounce: :bounce:

Looking at the photos i just took its pretty obvious to me now that shes picked up a few GBA eggs. I put a female GBA to keep my male company a couple of weeks ago. Tell me what ya think

At times my yellows have a slightly darker looking line running down their side horizontally. But it comes and goes Gah these are only my second lot of fry gunna be sad if i have to "dispose" of the poor little buggers. If they were only picked up by her they may not be hybids right. What are the chances of this? should i grow them out and see?

As of yet my yellows havnt provided any fry, although i have witnessed alot of frisky behavior! The yellows are all from good breeders in Auckland 4 from maaxim (i think) and 6 from Kennith (kttk?). PS. Just noticed a yellow holding!! :bounce:

Yep definitely have 1 confirmed dem the same as your pic. Others still a mystery... look kinda like the GAEs in my tank I will try to get some pics up later to day.

Just a quick question for the experienced African breeders out there. Last week i stripped the fry of two small dems from my tank, one of which only had one bubba (which looks very much like a dem) and the other had a few fry but these look more like the electric yellows. Is it possible for these two breeds to get busy? I haven't found much info on the net.
