you are doing the right thing what it sounds like it has nocked itself on something in your tank and the scrape has got fungus on it. easy to treat if you treat it asap and you have so your fish sould come right.

females are silver in colour very boring looking and 95% of the female dwarf gouramis look like that. only nice ones are the chocolate (females)

i was an ehiem lover but then i got in the Aqua ones , i have had them for 6 yrs now and they go well, only thing wrong with them is the taps and they are fixing that. i havent had one back you (touch wood) aqua ones are also knowen as via aquas

you can put catfish in your tanks but wait until summer! its just to much of a shock on them if you do it now . i have bristle nose breeding in my goldfish tanks at work so they are a good one to get but wait until its warmer or they could/would die. corys do well in coldwater as well oh and borneo suckers.

the babys hatched out yesterday!!! its funny to see how small they are, my 1st lot look so big next to them i will try and put pic up of the babys when they are only just born.

hi Alan_au , i breed normal bristlenoses when i was a kid, i have been lucky and have had fish ever since i was born, my mum and dad use to import them and my after school job was counting fish and looking for dead ones, so i learnt alot about fish very young. mum and dad gave us tanks to breed guppies and i had my first lot of b/n breed in the tank. the golden black eyes are only new into nz and i feel in love with them as i do most catfish i have found the golden black eyes a bit harder to rase than other b/n. hi catfish_dude, yes the blue pleco is lovely i just wish the price wasnt so high.

sometimes they dont like each other :lol: try doing a good water change to change you temp , i find that works well. keep an eye on you fish that they dont get white spot, you temp might be to high for them to get in the moode so thats why a 50% water change helps , maybe start with a 30% water change and see what they do, also feed them up on good food,

first off do you have a male and female? what temp is your water as temp can be a part of getting them to breed. water movement as well. and a place for them to lay the eggs

well great news i put the mum and a new dad intogether a few weeks ago and last night they breed!!

i have owned a red tailed cat, what an amazing fish! but alot of work and money to feed them. they need a big tank and i know of a guy that had them in a heated swimming pool years ago, they come up for sale every so often. but you really need a big tank .Tiger/Zebra Shovelnoses have been brought in once but you dont here of them as been round, most people that got them have keeped them, in other words they did their homework before buying a big fish, mind you for the price they paid i would have to, i lost out on getting on when the bid got over$2000 and that was over 7yrs ago. oh and because both of them are on the band list they will not be coming in again, well unless someone has big balls :lol:

are the fry from the other two fish? if so they are keeping her away so thats why she is doing what she is doing. how is she today?

ok i always ask this but what is your ph? neons change colour if they are not happy , with the ph or temp. REMOVE THE SICK LOOKING FISH ASAP! how long have you had them? its hard to see in the pic but it does look like neon tetra disease.

i only sell Arowana's to people that know what the fish will grow like and will look after them 100%, the blacks dont grow as big so i tend to sell more of them (when you can get them) i get at least 1 to 2 phone calls a week asking if i will take pacu's off their hands and i always say no! but enjoy them , feed them live goldfish, dry food and i do no people that feed them baby mice (i couldnt)

SHORT NOSED ELEPHANTNOSE FISH is the pic that i have showing at the moment, they are so cute , they are out alot and eat out of your hand.

you can get more than one they are fine they work well when they are young and when they get older they just sit in the same spot and only move if they have to
