up date on the Diease: Common Name of Diease: "DUCK LIPS" Dammm it! I have sent another Great Flowerhorn to heaven!

A very good point bro! As the same to the blood parrot fish too.. seem to be none on the import list.. In the past i was real keen to find info on importing, search and search but no scientific name for them.. Supose there is another import list or expection" allowed for hybrid fish.. :dno: here is a blood parrot mixed iv made, I reckon if there are more and more people into breeding flowerhorn then one day we could get heaps of choice rather than relying on import strain..aslo some flowerhorn strain could be too expensive to import!

Golden Monkey is also called KAMALAU the word is from the Cantonese dialect. Kam = gold & Malau = monkey.....= golden monkey" and Thai, Singp, Maly also call them something else.. Fish I would die for would be a giant Mammon! :f77:

The fish mouth and teeth are swelling.. Fish behaviour become slightly slow, not eating well, but Not gasping above water level.. In the next 2-5days onward the swelling will become worser, then will die! In the past I have came across with this problem when fish are injuries from fighting. But this time the fish was by is self along! Furan2, melfix didn't work last time! Now my trail for this is a 50% water change + packet of furan2, Also added in a small size parrot to bring back some aggressive temper hoping its will help

:gopo: don't really know much about African, but my rule of introduce new fish in tank is to House out the weakest/ smallest cichlids first, let them be the owner of that tank.. Then after that new big bad cichlids is allow to be introduce into same tank.. Worst case if they fight each other all the time, then introduce more more fish in to spread out aggressiveness..
-
:f77: good on u for keeping a good hope. IMo with my experience in breeding a fews cichlids already, once the parents are disturbed when nursing their free swimming frys, they will tend to eat frys in the sense unable to Protect them..
-
for a beginner they would spent their dollar's on expensive pre-made perspex or pvc aqua background. for some1 with more creative mind, they would gether up some poly sheets and craft out some mean azz back ground.. "I got one hand in my pocket..and the hand hold torch flame' yeahh hha.. :dnc1:

All frys got eaten in main tank? :cofn:

King Kong Parrots, Ingots - Informations courtesy of www.happybreed.com The differences between Red Mommon, Red Ingot and Blood Parrot, King Kong Parrot Blood Parrot is the earliest defined type of the Cichlid bred, King Kong Parrot is the typical type of Cichlid hybrid at earlier stage, therefore, King Kong parrot has been comparing with latest hybrid Cichlid; but the Blood Parrots shape is smaller, with bigger head, more protruding eyes and V-shape mouth; King Kong Parrot has longer size with reddish orange color, dorsal fin are shorter than analfin, the shape is similar to the Red Devil, when it grows to the size of 18 cm, the shape of the mouth changes to triangle with more protruding jaw, only 20% of them grow to the size of half kilogram. Most of the color of Blood Parrot and King Kong Parrots seen in the market are changed into purple and blue by pigment injection, and this is not good for the fish liver and will shorten their life, the color injected will not last for a long time, once the color fades, it will not be recovered to the original one. The Blood Parrot and King Kong Parrots bred in the Happy Fishery Breed & Research Center has the natural red color as it fed with the natural attractants instead of the pigment injection. The length of the dorsal fin and analfin is longer than the tail fin and the mouth can open and close naturally, the shape is round and big with clear eyes and good stability, 90% of them grow to 1 kg or above with characteristic look in appearance, chin and shape. The red and round refined Red Mommon, Red Ingot is the majority type of Cichlid bred due to the popular refinery trend in the market, furthermore, there only one famous fish breeding farm exclusively produces it and the supply is stable with good quality. Both of the fishes are the best choice for appreciation, breeding or Feng Shui(geomantic omen). The Red Mommon is named for its high forehead which looks like the hat worn by the God of Fortune, the Red Ingot is named for its Yuan-Bao shape (odd-shaped gold or silver formerly used as money in China) appearance which looks like the Yuan-Bao, The reason Mr. Wang named Red Mommon and Red Ingot is because of its well-liked red color. Kavalan is the ancient name of the I-Lan city, people will know the fish is produced in I-Lan and this is certainly the pride of Taiwan in its fish breeding industry. Red Mommon and Red Ingot grow faster in the first year with the size at about 20cm, it will grow to 25 to 28cm two year later, however, its maximum growing size is not known yet as its still continue to grow and its believed that the fish may grow to the size of 30cm or above in the future. Its suggested to breed both of the fish at 28C in water temperature, PH6~8,KH3~6. Basically, the fish is strong to be well adapted to the surrounding unless of the quick change of the water quality. To maintain the best color, its suggested to breed them in slightly acid water; its also necessary to test the NH3, NH4, NO2 regularly for the concern of its health and color. Both of the fishes can be bred with different kind of fishes attributes to its gentle characteristic, especially outstanding with Dragon Fish, it brings out extraordinary Character and looks thus it makes the hit among aquarium world YESsss to breeding Bp with Flowerhorn :dnc1:
