  2. yeah got the new fan on sweet as, will post pics early next week

Put in 12 kg of live rock i think depending on the rock densisty and what kind of structure your after 12-20 Kgs MAX would do the job nicely, added a few dying corals from the cascade at work and they are picking up nicely :lol: There is a HUGE amount of bubbles (nice and small too) in the skimmer chamber but not really any worthy skimmate yet. Will put up pics early next week oh and added a Monti folliosa frag in there aswell to see how the sps handle the red sea max
  4. Going to set up a 600x450x600 native gecko tank in a month or two aswell(Man im so lucky the wife doesnt look on here)

Set up one of these today, adding rock tomorrow and then some pics everything went smothely except the power heads wouldnt work properly so i pulled them aprart again and again and again and then realised i hadnt taken the carbon out of the bag and that it was floating into the inlets of the powerhead

    You catch it in NZ waters and outside of the marine reserve area you aint breaking any rules

  10. I believe the first type of algae is Halimeda And the second type is either Vasicularia or a Chlorodesmis sp

  18. haha i love the BB, ive got montis, button polyps and even acros base spreading on the glass
  19. Ive only had the frag for half a week so its hard to say, but my wife said the parent colony had grown heaps ( i was bby sitting it for Puttputt) esp cosidering it was out of the light the whole time (on the tank floor and under 150's plus in the shade)
  20. Yours is a Trapezid then, Trapezids are found in Pocilopora, Stylophora and Seriatopora. Xanthids are found in Acropora and Montipora's 8)

  23. A couple more pics, things are coming along nicely now, tested my NO3 and they are between 0 - 2.5 Through the glass T5 only, onw white one actinic From the water surface down, T5's only Through the glass hallides and T5's on Ben
