Like wasp said just cut a length off, If you are mounting in epoxy (what i do) with a knfie peel back a length of about 5mm of the skin (the same as striping electrical wire) the stick on the inside will be exposed and push this into the epoxy.

WOW my acros are showing better PE, my phosphates have lowered and so have my nitrates. Will wonders never cease :lol: . BUt seriously i cant wait to see how this skimmer performs and the tank responds, then who knows maybe a 902 could be on its way 8)

Less than five minutes after starting up from being emptied out + to the DELTEC Skimmer is now vitually silent and i hope to get some rubber sleeves (feet) for the two pumps very soon, then i suspect this will be as quit as my other skimmers

Picked up my new toy from RnB yesterday (thanks for the great deal) Installed it in a hurry, with about 0.25mm clearance or less between the top of the sump and the top of the stand :lol: And was impressed with the initial start off but man it wa noisey and one of the pumps wasnt pulling any air, so i got home an hour ago and started to tutuu with it, then i got a small but decent tingling zap off the plug :lol: :lol: NOt blaming any1 but myself , I know better and saw they were corided, put new plugs on skimmer is 20X quiter and cranking hope to have a pic of FOAM soon. The t5,s ive added have given me a 35% ligthing inrease so i plan to add another unit to the back of my MH pendant This will give me 54W actinic T5 54w 16000K T5 150w 10K hallide 150w 10K hallide 54w 6500K T5 54W actinic T5 Hope to see good reults from a nice full spectrum of lighting But i feel that the flow is the most important next upgrade

In CHCH i would say so, i imagine there is a high conc of CL due to run off from the avon (i may be wrong), if you use a water purifier with a carbon block then no you dont need to add ager

havent really been adding mag put in about 200 gm last night coz i hadnt dosed in ages. oh well did a twenty percent change, will retest in a week or so and do a 30-40 % water change.
