That is super cool! Do you know if the LED bulbs they sell to replace standard halogens would give that effect or does it have to be just a single LED? I'm also looking at mounting a 1ft warm white T5 bulb I have just below the tank to give the 'sunset' effect.

Last night when the lights were off in my tank, I used the camera flash light on my phone to illuminate the aquarium. I noticed this created a rippling 'halide' effect and all sorts of cool shadows. So I was wondering, what would I need to recreate this without using my phone? Really I want a unit I can plug into my multiboard and move the single, bright white LED to different places around the tank to create this effect. Thanks!

I believe this is the question he's asking anyone with knowledge on the matter. All he wants is information to see if it's viable for him to set up a facility of his own.

Of course they were well behaved, I have no idea what Berliner Pilsner is but I'm assuming it's not one of the RTDs hundreds of teens get smashed on every weekend? Change the drink, change the behaviour. And I don't think NZ is well behaved enough to become responsible social smokers just like that.

You'd be better off looking at the wholesale list, the legal list is long and most of those species aren't here. I'm not sure where the wholesale list is but the list of fish available on HFF's website is pretty good.

Of course there are risks and it does do damage, I'm simply comparing it to other mind altering substances and it stacks up well against those.

I believe that as long as it's classed as a drug, it will be abused as a drug. In the Netherlands it's a common way to socialise and many families smoke cannabis in their own homes, much like a few glasses of wine after dinner. The intention isn't to "get high", trip over your own feet and clear the pantry of all it's worth, the idea is that it's a relaxing and social event.

My car passed it's very first WOF (under my ownership) and I'm so proud of her! Gave her a nice exterior and window clean as a reward :lol:

How do they prevent that now? Almost 50% of males aged 18-24 in 1998 admitted to using cannabis within the last 12 months, I bet that number has only gone up. I believe that intoxication isn't an issue, the issue is when that intoxication causes harm. I've seen the effects excess alcohol has on people, vomiting, fighting, crazy emotions etc and people die from drinking too much. Whereas people using cannabis will rarely vomit, will almost never fight, hell it's pretty much the opposite of alcohol. You'd think the lesser of two evils would be encouraged. Legalising won't increase use significantly, the people who wish to use cannabis will continue doing so. The law would just change their criminal status.

So should drinking to excess then become illegal?
