  1. My mother enjoys it though, not as much as me but still :-?
  2. I hear all I wouldn't say favourite, Big Bang Theory is better (Wednesdays 8:00pm)
  3. I'm on now, maybe I'm a bit late?
  4. Replace the halogen with LEDs, they make them to fit the halogen fitting. Do a search for "halogen LED" on TradeMe.
  5. Oh right. Understood, differing opinions and all
  6. 8) If I'd known earlier I would have been in contact. It was very much a rushed trip anyway, mostly to see the grandparents. I'm sure there are plenty more fish out there that would match my needs
  7. Breeding fish usually doesn't require any particular lighting Which light? The halogen right?
  8. What are you trying to grow under them? Most plants do well under 6500k Energy saver light bulbs. $10 for the lamp and $5 for the bulb.
  9. Really? I thought they'd still be at the Killie show?
  10. I know, I know. I can catch my own shrimp, I have heard a rumour of a local place. Anything is appreciated really 8)
  11. Up to you really, I'm sure I could source some up here if I have to. That's where I got this peice and three boxes of it too. We ended up going down to Napier but it was a last minute decision, should have got in contact  In short, I've got enough driftwood to last me a lifetime. LOL Uh-oh, Mum's just said no clutter on the bench so would some shrimp be happy in a 27L Splish Splash?
  12. I just threw this together now. Simply stones from the garden, very little builders sand and some driftwood. Excuse the poor lighting  Is it okay? If not, why? If so, which plants can I add? Thanks!
  13. I used it last night, it's fine but far easier using an addon IRC client
  14. I'd be there more if I could find an IRC client for Google Chrome :-?
  15. Awesome tank and discus.
  16. I kept zebra finches outdoors for years, feathers are very useful at keeping them warm. If someone doesn't already have her, she'll probably be up in a tree keeping warm.
  17. My dwarf gourami used to build bubble nests and reinforce them with leaves. The pair spawned once but the eggs were eaten due to them being in a community tank. HTH
  18. Sorry to hear this BikBok, I'll keep and extra eye out for her. It's a long way to my area but you never know. Good luck.

I'm planning an inline diffuser for maximum CO2 absorption, just not too sure where to get all the parts.

Has so! More hairgrass has come through, hygro has gone red and grew heaps. I think :-? PMDD It does help, I ran that pump straight onto the hairgrass and it cleared off the algae. I have a smaller diffuser at the back now, still ugly but less noticeable and more efficient. I'm already planning an even better one

And the pictures no ones been waiting for... Still plenty of algae on the Hygro but it's still growing. Hairgrass is doing very well and the Glosso is coping. Java fern and moss isn't doing so well but the Rotala rotundifolia I added from another tank is growing well considering the state it was in before. Planning on making a new diffuser soon.
