My young BNs seem to eat a little bit of algae, the guppies you gave me are having a good go at it too.

Great that you're just going to go for it but I just wanted to offer my advice. I get what you mean about not wanting to follow them, it's just easier to say 'gumi or NA to roughly describe the style. Having your own style is even better though

Just glosso is really all that can go in a tank with rocks like this, unless you don't mind not using the rocks best their advantage. You're shifting from almost Iwagumi to Nature Aquarium style, therefore the rocks need to be scrapped or changed. HTH

I don't frequent that section of TradeMe but I do find it annoying when looking under "Fish tanks and aquariums" and finding most of it isn't actually aquariums, just accessories. Maybe talk to TradeMe about this?

If you're a member of the PT forum you'll see they have a LOT of DIY ADA style stand threads at the moment, they turn out really well too.

I've sent some to Rotorua like that. Aside from arriving a month later and leaking it was fine. Did better than the glosso and riccia that was sent that way.

I added another little power head with the duck bill attachment to increase aeration and flow. Might add another one, the deadspot at the front with the grass is where it grew.

Current fauna: 1x Betta Splendens (Marble Female) 5x Clown Killies 10x Lampeyes 9x Young Bristlenose 3x Young Guppies (2F/1M, only 3 weeks old so not certain) After I introduced the guppies I thought some meds from their water had stained the sand so I chopped up the sand a bit. But this afternoon I went to do a WC and found out it's the dreaded Cyanobacteria I siphoned as much out as I could but being in the harigrass, I just covered the rest up with sand. If it comes back, is there anyway to treat without antibiotics? Thanks
