Bugger, someone bought the silver dat that I wanted to get, was in the shop for ages and now as soon as I was able to get it it was taken :evil: :evil: Will just have to get one from mt Roskill tomorrow - does anyone know if there are any left?

cool, just wondering what other people feed theirs, I've had my 2 for about a year or two and they are around 15cm-17cm, dont know what size they were when I got them, i feed mine hikari floating pellets, sinking tabs, meaty mix stuff and the occasional bug in the garden - usually worms Very slow growth rate tho :-?

Just remembered to ask, how long have you had your dats Duncan7? and how big? Do you feed them hikari pellets?

yeah, I guess it was kind of raggedish when i got him but the progress made is not very visible, im thinking it wont grow back to the elongated shape of the other ones but like to remain hopeful :roll: . I have better hopes for the smaller dels barbel tho, should grow back within a few weeks like the albinos one.

FISH importer

yeah I want one, they look awesome, I've seen them kept with other fish but I think the rule is to have them smaller than most of the others initially and grow them up like that. Bit cheaper too

On another note I saw that jardinis may be imported again? anyone got more info?

yeah, my oddball indo should be filed for harrassment - he chases the other one around the WHOLE time, I just wonder how he keeps the stable condition What do you think will happen if I add the AT? will he end up being chased the most or will he be ignored? bit of a hoper Q sorry

Apparently my friends mate's uncle is an importer so i might be able to get hook ups (please oh please!! ) hopefully i would be able to get a small group that way i know the stock would be definite. Oh and decided not to sell my big del , I was wondering, he has a weird shaped tail, more rounded than my other ones, kinda as though it was chewed sort of, will the end regrow back, he is kind of oldish? Also one of the smaller dels nose barbels was bitten off mostly, I had the same case with my albino and it grew back, I am assuming the same for the del?

I like the indo, he has the same pattern as one of mine on one side but lacks the merged stripe that mine has on the other side 8) Love the albinos eyes, whereas the normals have distinguished pupils etc the albinos have really weird reflective eyes ! - same with the dats, big eyes . Im hopefully picking up the AT in albany next week, wondering if he will stick up to my bigger dats, my bigger ones are probably 2-3 times his size, should be ok though right? How big is yours Morcs, growth rate? your tank reminds me of DavidR's, but lacks the fish size.

Only prob with dels is that the supply is not always constant and the price is a bit steep, quite a money gamble, i think it best to accumulate them over a few weeks/months unless your loaded 8) 8) 8)

yeah, have 3 atm, I want to sell the biggest one and get two smaller ones and grow them with the other 2 in a separate tank, while continually adding bichirs - aiming for about 7-8 mayb's. in the larger tank I want to do a group of dats, 3 indo 2 AT, then after the coffers fill up a bit I will upgrade the tank size, chuck em all in and buy an asian aro or a jardini - hoping they get imported Thats the general plan, with a few extra 'interesting fish should i chance upon it' :roll: My interest in ornates has dwindled a bit while my interest in sengals and dels has been boosted, I prefer the look of the smaller ones, only plus to the ornates is the size of course . But first job is to get an AT

Well, it was a kinda recent decision, am i right in thinking u lost 2 dels now ? jeez heaps a dough right there! yeah if anyone is lookin for a larger sized del I am looking to trade for smaller dels/cash etc, just want to get a group of smallish ones.

My plan is to get maybe 2 At's and get a group of small delhezis and grow them up, anyone who is willing to sell or swap their smallish dels (10cm+) for a 20cm del and/or 20cm ornate let me know cheers

Haha thats funny, my tiger's stripes go mottled/unstripey whenever he is acting aggressive, opposite to yours, but my other tiger remains stable the whole time, weird aye? Nice tigers btw , the pipes look too small for them to fit in :lol:
