Ok my friend decided to set up a golf fish tank. After gettin her mums smaller tank (mum went big) she set it up, cycled it, and then got the fish. 3 little gold fish. All 3 died within 8 days. Only one showed a sign of kinda changin to a blochy black colour. Ok 3 weeks gone by, 7 fish in total have died. (brought 7 in total) The last one to die also showed the blochy black colour. Only other thing that they show is sittin at the top of the tank. Please any ideas on what is wrong with her tank??? Everything she puts in there dies.

Yes Alan, the last lot all died at three weeks old. This time they are almost two weeks and twice the size, so I know I am doin something right this time.

Well here we go again. My oscars have babies. They are a week old today and free swimmin. I am feeding them frozen BS as I had no luck hatchin my own. There are probably over 100 of them at this time. Hopefully this time I will get them over 3 weeks old. If anyone has any tips, please tell me. :lol:

I have moved my family and my 14 fish tanks 4 times in a yr.........only ever have 1 or 2 deads. Just don't wash ya stones and you can move them in one day.

I found a lovely log to put in one of my fish tanks. I have it sitting in a very large drum outside held down under the water line. It has been there over a week, and if I take the bricks off it that are holding it down it is still floating. How long does it normally take??? Thanx :-?

Dam, hmmmm I have to ask myself what you do to them. But then I guess it is a bit like me and firemouths, I can't keep them alive?

Hmmmm wish I could help you. Mine breed like fly's. Only thing I can think of is that I lost a few at the start, but then the problem came right. I am wondering if they don't like new tank set ups. Maybe the tanks need to be well cycled before you put them in. Also they love to have heaps of places to hide.

Yep I have to agree, I have B/N's in all my tanks, and I never clean algae. Now I am overrun with them, the b/N's that is.........they are breeding really well
