Yeah. I haven't seen the add ( my friends told me 'bout it ) but if the excuse for confisacting the fighter doesn't sound realistic then I might send in a complaint. Do they kill the fish now that it is in NZ? Wonder how they "put it down". Maybe they shoot it with a very tiny gun with very, very tiny bullets.

Hey guys, My siamese fighters spawned about a week ago on a Thrusday. I've been feeding them on liquifry for a week and now they are about 4-5 mm long now. Just needing to know what to start feeding them on next? I tryed giving them some finly crushed up flakes and a few of them seemed to like it but some others suck up their noses and didn't touch the stuff... :-? David! If you are out there I would appriciate your help! Thanks guys Danny

Hi Just wondering? :-? I know that fresh water betta fish come in millions of shapes and colours.....so is the marine version just the black fish with white dots and a large yellow one, or does it also come in a range of different shapes and colours?

Good News!!!!!!!! My fighter is blowing bubbles againg! And there not popping! And what did I do....... absolutly nothing :-? No idea what happened. But now he is blowing bubbles again that don't pop in his same old plastic cup. Maybe it was a mental thing? Maybe he had a short bubble-phobia thingy? Anyway, thanks for all the help , tommorow I'm going to feed him some mosquito larvae. Glad my fish isn't broken

Hey there. I love fish tons and have purswaded my college to get a fish tank in the biology room. Unfortunatly it's only about 5 liters. Has all the equipment, just thinking of a small community to put in it. I was thinking of 1 male siamese fighter. Any other fish that I could put in it ( even without the fighter )?

DARN!!! Dad says he can't fly all that way!? Oh well. Sorry can't come. Really would like to though!

What about elephant fish?

I have a large plastic bin outside that is filled with rain water and 100,000's of mosquito larvae. I am always nervous about what other poisons or diseases could be in the water :oops: so to harvest the larvae I take a funnel with filter paper ( or even a piece of cleaned filter floss ) and seperate the larvae from the water, quickly put them into a bucket of aquarium water and pour that into the tanks. Just to be on the safe side....

cool. What oily foods do you suggest. :-? My fish is not allowed to be broken. The recipt says that I can't return it!

I have got a friend who is also very egar to join! My Dad is a pilot and will be flying us down from Auckland. Is there any good places to land a helicoptor? Could you please state exactly where the " fishing " spot is. Just comfirming that we are still going and it is on Sunday 9:00am-10:30am That time suits me just fine. Man I am so excited!!!

Sorry to make this situation worse, but I do not have any current in my tank, there are indian ferns and a lotus plants leaves floating around..... and I am not to good at throwing so the wet fish will have to wait. :lol:

Hi there. This is really wierd. :-? I have read up about breeding fighters many times so tryed to do it myself. I have a 10 gallon tank, plants, half a styrofoam cup, a egg-filled female and am feeding them small live foods and betta flakes. My fish are both 4.5 months old. The male was building huge bubble nests under the cup, but they kept on popping within 15 mins. Now he has totally stopping building nests and just flirts with the female, like he was doing egarly before. Every 2 hours I would release the female for 20mins into his tank. He still flirts and chases her and seems eager to mate. They have been together for about 2 and a half weeks now. He stopped building nests 3 days ago. WHAT DO I DO!?

ok..... 1. I have the money. 2.I am just thinking of a community of fish for it. I will get into equipment research later and make sure it is well suited for the size and species of the animals. I am thinking of building it around the end of the year after lots of planning and research. 3. I am thinking of building a tank that is appox 3m long, 1.2m wide and 1m tall. ( I have now measure the area where I would want to put it if I had one. ) 4. I am tall, have a stool and I can get cleaning equipment that is long. So I will be able to clean it properly. The fish that I would really like would be: 1x Black Arowana tiger oscars tiger borneo some sort of eels or bichirs Oddball fish or cichlids and a catfish. p.s. can you get garfish in NZ?
