  1. How big is your tank? Great selection there already.
  2. Never see around our beaches, nothing decent anyway.
  3. Great looking driftwood, sure beats paying for them. Love to be able to find some here too, trouble is i live near the sea...not fresh water!
  4. Thats what im after too, knowing my tank is way to small for the Clowns, ive found i love the look of the Kuhli's The Blue Rams look great too, dont think they would be suited to my community of neons and Tigers. You need to post some pics mate 8)
  5. Sweet, will do thanks. I assume it would be ok to add a BN to our tank with the Golden AE already there?
  6. Yep have been reading up on that, after we brought it! (the Mrs liked it and wanted, i know a great way to choose a fish!) Id love to get a BN, but have yet to see any around to buy.
  7. Cheers, the Gourami's look great, powder blue in colour. Will grab a couple more later, like the reddish stripped ones. The Mrs is very keen on a Siamese Fighting Fish, there are some lovely looking bright red ones at the lfs. But i know they can be in danger of getting nipped. Especially seeing as we have 5 tiger barbs, though ive read in groups of that number they tend to stick to themselves. They certainly havent bothered the neons, though at times lastnight i saw them all grouped together checking out the Golden Algae eater! J.K what fish do you have at the moment?
  8. Pleased how its going so far (ok only been a few weeks) Added a couple of great looking Dwarf Gourami's and a single Golden Algae eater lastnight.
  9. Have Alien Quadrilogy on dvd, great series of movies. Hard to go past Alien and Aliens as the best of the lot, although i felt Alien 3 is very underrated. Someone mentioned the Kill Bill movies, yes!..i forgot those, great movies.
  10. For sure, and no surprise 1 is missing, found dead! Murderers!
  11. Se7en, Fight CLub, Jaws are up there. Of course as are the LOTR films. And a new one is The Dark Knight, cracking movie.
  12. Hope your right, 3 years we have been there and its never been over $100 (great having no kids aye). On a side note and back to fish, couple of the Tiger Barbs were having quite a stoush lastnight..
  13. Got our first power bill since setting the tank up, up by 25%! Well considering our bill is normally only $80, i guess having it go up to $100 aint too bad..
  14. Interesting thread, ive had my eye on the Clown Loaches since i started a couple weeks ago. But due to my small 135 litre tank ive realized they are not really an option. But there seems to be plenty of other choices like the Kuhlie which i will now be getting instead.
  15. Gutted, sorry to hear that mate. I dread the day when that happens, brother had a dozen Neons all die at once the other day, 1 left now. Its only been 2 weeks since i set it up, might wait another 2 weeks before i introduce any more fish. Like to concentrate on adding more plants.
  16. Think you are due an update mate 8) Sounds about the same size as mine, how soon after setting up did you introduce the BN's?
  17. Really pleased how its turned out. Keen to get the following fish over the coming weeks, Khulie Loachs (say 2 or 3) Bristlenose (just the 1 is enough i assume) or perhaps an Oto (can i have both?) Some specie of Gourami (how many would be a good number) Dwarf or Pearl looking likely. Possible choices, depending if compatible is either a silver shark or other type, ie red tail, red fin, maybe rainbow. Beta/Siamese fighter, beautiful looking fish.
  18. Great looking set up there supasi
  19. Agree, will be adding more plants now. Happy to see how the neons and tigers go for now before i start adding more expensive type fish. We originally had fake things in the tank, half log and plants...ditched them for the real stuff Love to have a big Amazon sword too.
  20. Not at all, good thinking Cheers Feels like its more than bright enough for the tank, in the morning im scared of shocking the fish so i turn the lounge lights in the room on first, wait a few minutes then turn on theirs 1 light at a time.
  21. Could be wrong but i think they are 300W..does that sound about right.
  22. Cheers , so best to leave them to it for now They look fine so far..
