hi all its a classic so it draws water from the bottom and pumps out the top. it has 2 grill grate type things one for the top and one for the bottom cheers Matt

hi all im setting up a new old eheim 2262 and it has no baskets for media and was wondering if i should bag my noodles or just fill it up loose? the only pro i can think of with bagging is i can clean them eaiser and pro for no bags is it fills up better as in there are no gaps in between like id get with bags cheers Matt

hi i got the filter 2nd hand and didnt come with a sponge/foam... i dont think the eheim pad will cost anywhere near $10 id be very surprised if it were cheers Matt

lol i was looking at that 2260 but the shipping to chch was a killer was going to run 1x 2260 and a 2262 on my 6 footer on the ehiem site it says the 2260 is rated at 65Watts and 2400lph and the 2262 is 80Watts! and 3400lph

true but filters are pretty much one of the things that are on 24/7 365 days of the year so anywhere you can save is a good thing 8)

think it all adds up when you are running say 4+ big externals are the 404s really that bad? as my 405 is raterd as only using 20watts

hi i think you will find that they are stated at using 62Watt which is quite a bit IMO
