Good luck Hubby & I have given up this month with the motivation of doing the Milford Track in November. You know the money saved doesn't mean much and good advise well it only goes so far ...you just know when you feel like crap in the morning that it is time to stop.. We also stopped having a beer on the deck during the week and changed our habits you know the one smoke bfore diner.......after diner............keeping busy helps

I brought home 3 Molleys a couple of weeks ago and now I have about 30 fry in the tank. They are pretty yellow and black.

I have Harry a spolit 10 yr border collie. I work full time and he is home alone for 8 hours a day. Actually I come home at lunchtime to see him and have a cleaning lady once a week mainly to keep him company. He is fine as long as his routines are kept. Walking, food and playtime then cuddle on the couch.

I have a robo can spray thing keeps away the flys and doesn't seem to kill the fish. My fry tank is in the same rooms as the robo can and they are fine.

wow the garden is just out the window by the tank so that sounds great. If I go and buy one of these what else do I need to be aware of for attaching the hose? Any little things that would help I would be thankful for the will get the non fish person (man of the house) to make it for me heheheehehehe... Andrew have posted in technical re SUNSUN tank if it is all good I will be able to get one and get some discus too... yipee

ok so I get the hose all good to put the water back in the tank but does this take the water out of the tank as well? and if it does you don't really siphon it out with the hose end?

Thanks for your replys I wasn't too worried about the filter as I was going to run an external one with it. Looking at the 200ltr so I can finally get those beautiful Discus.. space for the clowns you know the story......

Thanks but buggar I assume your tanks are near the kitchen sink my tank is futherest from any taps in the house so don't get how this would work "sorry its a girl thing"

nice very jealous would love to have some Discus but at the moment my tank is only 135ltrs

Does anyone have a Sunsun tank and are they any good? They seem awfully cheap.

What is a water change tape fitting?

I got some yellow mollys the other day. They are active swim in the middle/top of the tank and add a little fun.

hi there I couldn't resist buying three new molly's today Yellow with fancy tails. One of them seems act like a clown loach almost standing on its tail swimming around. Usually when the other Mollys are near. most of the time he swims normally. Is he saying "come and get me?". I am hopin he isn't sick the other two are supposed to be girls. Anyone else out there with Mollys who can tell me if this is normal?

Funny I thought my heaters and thermostats were not working and went and brought a new thermometor today. Seems 29 is the norm in all my tanks. Fish seem fine in fact the Drawf Gouramis colour looks the best I have seen.

what is the plant you have in there and how often do you need to do the water changes? Will the cherry barbs bred outside naturally or do you need to do something special? Sorry for all the questions but have a spare tank and I was thinking of putting it outside without anything in it but your post sounds far more interesting.

ditto :lol: We went away weekend before Xmas and my son (those lovely teenage years) had a suprise party and drank all my grog. If we go out on New Years I suspect he will invite "some friends" over. :lol:

Well I found some great stuff at Stone & waterworld (closet to me). I have now redone my whole tank and it looks fab. It used to be heavily planted and I got really tired of not seeing all my fish as they would hide. Now they can't they seem happy enough the Clowns and BN's especially. Thanks again for your help.

Can anyone tell m where in Auckland I can get some slate or similar looking rook to set up a centre cave/volcano in my tank? I have tried animates/garden center and Stephensons
