thanks I'll stop worrying and watching to see what they are doing. Yep I thought it might be the horror of the net, trip and strange looking people staring at us in raptures. They are stunning koi/ghost and black :oops: .

I brought my new Angels home to day and carefully floated the bag and added water etc. Now they are hiding at the back of the tank in a corner. there is nothing bigger than them in the tank and plenty of plants. I have turned out the lights thinking this might help but they don't want to move. :-?

I'm so excited. Couldn't decide on what to get for my new tank So I was getting grumpy went to the LFS (man they must get sick of seeing me) and nothing inspired me except some schools of smaller fish. Watched my other smaller fish who generally congragate in the plants at the back of the tank and thought I want something showy.. The Angels at the LFS looked unwell so went home and googled the red splotches under the eyes :oops: OK now I know its normal. Well 10 Angels from trademe later heeheehee can't wait.... don't worry little fish will all have new homes. :bounce:

my baby clowns do this frequently.

thanks Rochelle. Very empty looking at the moment and as soon as I got the camera out the clowns hid... I got the slate from Waterworld in Ellerslie amazing place. Poor Joe had to drag me out before I decided to repave, outside fishpond ......

ok so I'll get 2 and see what happens. As long as they don't breed like the platys and guppys I had it'll be fine. They were like rabbits even when I took the mum out of the tank she still had babies for months afterwards.

Ok so I moved the bio media and fish over last night. They all look great. should I do a water change on Saturday as this is my once a weeek water change day or should I wait for a few more days. My clowns are sooo happy or maybe not they are out exploring there new home. i will have to go and buy some more.

The other thing I have heard with Clowns is they get lazy so add a new small clown to the pack and then it reminds them about eating snails.

thnaks none of the others seem to have it. I only noticed when transferred into our new tank last night. I will try to remove him into another tank as I don't want to loose all my fish. Would it help to put some salt in the tank? Lots of talk of salt would this be ok for my clowns?

Hi there my neon has a white spoton his mouth. Colour seems ok, still schooling with the others. How do I know if this is cotton mouth or neon disease?

Thanks ryanjury. Will probably sell off the neons and replace with another schooling fish. If they eat the baby mollies that'ld be geat as I seem to breed these without trying. Sounds harsh but thats life. I really want some discus but cant afford the $$$$ and the babies need too much work to begin with.....

I have finally got the tank I want... trick was to keep getting more and more little tanks till family said enough just get one big tank :lol: I have a couple of questions please. My plants in the old tank have what I believe is Black Beard Algae not all over but it is there. Should I move them into the new tank? If I do move them to the new tank and use Flourish Excel ( I believe this will get rid of it?) should I wait longer to move the fish? I used half the stones from my old tank and tonight was going to move the bio media from the old filter into the new tank then the fish. Would this work or do I have to cycle from scratch? My new tank is 215lts and will house 4 clown loaches, 2 mollies, 2 GBA's 20 neon Tetra's and 4 Black Phantom tectras. These are from the exisiting tanks. Eventually I want to have 6 Clown Loaches, 20 Tectras of some sort, my 2 GBA's as I find them cute, 2 mollies. Do you think a couple of Angels would work with this? Sorry for all the questions but I want to get this right if possible.

hehe when I brought my mollys home I thought there was something wrong with one of them. He kept swimming almost standing up and woould go hide for a while. About two days later I see all these babies in the tank.

My news is I have some baby Mollys now. They are real cute.

come over and get some Indian fern I have some nice big plants at the moment. The babies will hide in it. I have had better results of keeping babies this way than using a seperate net. will pm my number so you can ring me first.
