i have 3 cories in with each of my fighters and look great

i had 1 male and 8 females in a large tank ( cant remember what size but biggest tank ive owned) it ended badly :evil:

i wouldnt suggest a trio in there, tios are only suggested in 60l or more. i would suggest 1 male and maybe 3 catfish. i have this in my tank that size and it looks great

as i ran out of air stones i had one that i was switching between both sides of the tank every second day. i just bought some more so there will always be one in their form now on

i just went down to my tank and noticed my fighter has a clamped tail fin. it is a 60l tank divided in 2 in his side is him, 3 catfish, 4 harlquins, he built his first bubble nest last night and doesnt seem down at all. ive added a little melafix and gotten him to flare cuz i know that helps. he flared but couldnt open his tail right up. is there anything else i can do?

i enjoy vts but get sick of the same colours everywhere

i would of gotten him too if id seen him! :bounce: i only see plain blur or red ones now

very nice, good to know there are still cool colour vts out there! and yes the red is his colouring, its called dalmation i believe

i stopped mine from jumping by making lids and tryed to minimise stress by making plastic dividers to go between compartments so they couldnt always see each other. i took the cards out for 20 minutes every day they are too small and cause too much stress on fish

i found that they were too small for adult males. the current wasnt too bad as you can adjust it. i always found the pipes and nozzles to keep blocking, getting jammed and then id get annoyed at it also there was alot of water loss with mine and i had to put 2 litres of water into it every night, when i first got it i lost 3 heaters cuz i kept forgetting to top it up . so yeah i took mine down. i however willl keep it for back up for seperating young males. but in my opinion they arent worth it

ive lost more fish than survived in them. depression gets them pretty quick. i had mine with plants in the tanks. i would only suggest it for seperating young males. i have just taken mine down and set up a new tank for my males

i have a 80 litre tank and im wanting to keep some rams i like the look of electric blue rams and the german blue rams. i was wanting 10 neons my bristlenose catfish and a pair of each the electric blues and germans. can they be kept together? ashley

mum asked me a couple of days ago that she wants me to do her fish tank back up for mothers day. she gave me less than a weeks notice but i said ill try get it planted by next weekend. the tank is 60x30x30, mum owns a native plant nursery and loves native ferns, she wants the tank to have nz native fern forest look to it. so that means she wants a very green looking tank. we have two small pieces of driftwood and i have decided to go with the plants java fern windelov indian fern christmas moss anubia nana mum wants blue and red fish she also likes bristlenose catfish for fish i think we will go 2 small bristlenose 10 neon tetras 2 blue rams does anyone have any other suggestions on plants or other fish ideas? also what sort of lighting will i need

would it be worth trying we have a garden full of it so dont mind replacing itr

has anyone tried black mondo grass in their aquariums? i saw it for sale at animates once but ive never heard of it as an aquariam plant. i have heaps in my garden and was thinking of digging it up and trying it
