i really like the convicts and electric yellows and both are easy to source so for the now will stick to these two until i get the hang of cichlds thanks again for all the advise

these are the types of cichlids i like just looking and getting info for now thanks in advance sorry if they are the same fish but i only understand common names and not scientific just browsing pictures 1: Pseudotropheus Demasoni 2: blue dolphin 3: electric yellow 4:convict 5: frontosa 6: Apistogramma hongsloi 1: what ones can be kept together and what ones need there own tank? 2: can any be kept with other fish? 3: any special foods, decorations, precautions?

well said im not into the whole hormone treatment thing all natural is the way to go so no kudos from me for using hormones but he gets kudos for boosting the tank breed population even if they did or didnt survive long just my two cents not to offend

if the babies have there own tank remove gravel as all the food will just stay in the bottom as you have to feed babies more often so more food gets traped at least until there big enough also you lessen the chances of disease and invest in a turkey baster to suck up poo and uneaten foods just my two cents not to offend any one PS: congratulations on doing so well

thanks didnt get to ask about lights but got a cool guppy i also got the coco fiber me newt loves it running around and exploring need to make the land area bigger tomorrow though

cool im no good at diy so would have to go professional the ones that clip on to the tank sounds like me or the sit on the top ones ill ask tomorrow at my lfs so i can see what all the options are

yip im westpac and there national so a day or to by internet or instant if we the same bank

i do so i can go into there bank and put the money in it is instant so i get my stuff quicker rather than transfering by internet and taking a day or two

so if i were to get a ceramic holder do i just screw in the merc vapour and sit it on top of my tank? as it does not have a hood or lid also is it useful for turtles as i probably use for turtle

were do you get uvb lights i have looked on tm and no go i found a uvb light tube just curious for now to see how much its all going to cost also because none of my tanks have hoods or lids what is the best way to have lighting? our family owns the house if that helps
