Im a bit nervous, My beardie seems to have gone into brumation. He didnt do this last year so i dont know what to do or if he's eaten enough etc... His eating slowed down a lot a couple of weeks ago and he kept hiding in his cave, I thought he just liked his new cave and was hiding so I kept taking the cave off. He was fine and lively. Then with the weather getting colder outside I figured maybe hes trying to go to sleep so I have left him ever since. He has been in there for 4 days now and I do the heating as usual. His eyes are still open tho. He didnt come out for food or water when I put it into his enclosure. I dont know if hes going to be hydrated enough or anything. To be honest I just want to take his cave off an make him lie under the heat lamp because Im too nervous about losing him but I know this is mean and unnatural. Will he just wonder out if he gets hungry or what? Do i need to make it darker for him? can i interupt him now or will this be hazarous. He is in a noisy area and perhaps i should move him to his quiet cage at home? I feel so stupid has anyone else had a beardie go down to sleep and if so for how long and what do you do? Does he still need UV? Come on guys 100 people have viewed this and no replies... i feel bad enough its just not worth the risk.. someone must have some advice before its too late for ma lil guy Any help or advice is very much appreciated thanks. I was wondering that when beardies shed do the insides of their noses shed?? This might sounds like a stupid question but i noticed today that my beardie has a little tube coming out of his nostril. It kind of looks like skin but i am not sure. I had a look at his other nostril and it look fine but seems to be blocked. This might be nothing but i thought i should ask. If anyone could put my mind at easy that would be great. Lloyd :bounce:

Hi there.. My beardie was sent from auckland to wellington my air new zealand it was an hour direct flight and it came in with all the other animals. It cost around $100. It was in a big plastic box with abit of sand and was then put in a cardboard box. worked well.. hope that helps give air new zealand a ring. Lloyd :bounce:

I have orders some food from Bio Supplies but they sending it next week haha sweet i have found some other stuff for the mean time and he seems fine.

He would get about 14 hours UVB.. i think he is just getting ready to shed and also might be slowing down for winter. I will just watch and see what happens. Lloyd :bounce:

so what should i do? do i need to do anything different. his light goes on at about 8am and goes off at about 8am or 8pm. Thats to long right? Lloyd

He is not overly skinny. He ate 3 crickets today. He is still active but not as much as normal. I thought he might be getting ready to shed? i have ordered some live food so i will se if that helps. Ohh he has been like this for just over 1 week. Lloyd :bounce:

having problems beardie.. he is only eating about 2 caned crickets every 2 days and he wont eat greens. anyone got any suggestions? His tank is 31 degrees and 40 in basking spot. and he has a uvb light. any help would be great. Lloyd :bounce:
