  1. When I was much younger me and my brother were having a friendly game of not letting the other one type there user name into a console, The name that came up for me was OEminX. So for years that has been what I have used on my consoles and here. PS I like the feel of rusty spoons.
  2. Thought i would jump in here, Sorry supa but your numbers are wrong. If you are using any of the cannon bodies (except the 5D, 1DS & 1D Which have X1, X1 & X1.3 crop respectively) then the focal length of any lens is multiplied by 1.6. so a 100mm lens becomes a 160mm lens. And tiny the best advice I have for you is do some reading. http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Canon-Lenses/ the bit that talks about "Canon Lens Recommendations". That link only talks about Canon lens but it still applies to the Sigma & Tamron equivalents.
  3. I have always had success with "blue circle white spot cure" and salt. The "blue circle white spot cure" I believe is just meth blue And the salt I just use at the rate suggested by Stella which I have to search for each time because I can't remember it. If you look in the Diseases section you will find information on white spot, try pages 3-4. Also the search function is very useful. HTH
  4. Clove oil is the way to go, works great if you need to have a closer look at a fish too and to administer meds to a wound etc.
  5. Don't you hate how they grow on you like that.
  6. Luxury. try living in a rotting log for a 2 months. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mangrove_rivulus
  7. Also don't over feed the micros to start with, let them use there yoke sacks for the first day after hatching.
  8. Remove the one that haven't gone brown, as they will fungus and you don't want it to spread.
  9. They are easyish to sex, how big are they? Guppies should be ok with them growing out if the Corys have a short head start. The grow out tank size depends on how many hatch
  10. Nothing to out of the norm, what type of corys are they I'm guessing bronze or pepped.
  11. Is your white spot cure is the "blue circle" one, I think it just meth blue anyway. So yes.
  12. O the number of eggs can very a lot. I have had just 10 from one pair to 50-60 but have hear of then in the 100s Meth blue helps alot but with out it just keep a close eye on the eggs and remove any going white.
  13. Egg hatch time is 4-5 days, and I would let the eggs harden off for an hour or 2 before removing them.
  14. A school of them is so cool to watch especially at feeding time . Yes I believe the eggs are light sensitive but to be honest I have never done anything special with the eggs just what I do with killie eggs. In a container with meth blue. As for food, Micros are perfect, in my opinion the best food for Cory fry.
  15. Found them, These are fertile Corys eggs at just over a day old.
  16. If they are fertile then that will go a brown colour over the next few days, the are quite strong you should be able to pick them off the spatula with your fingers.
  17. And don't think it wont happen, .
  18. Well when you add 70L of water to the tank it comes with an amount of chlorine. what the chlorine remover does is react with the chlorine in the water to form something that is not toxic to fish, what it forms I don't know to be honest. So short answer is you only need enough chlorine remover to remove the amount of chlorinated water you just added.
  19. Just enough for the water you are replacing. I normally add it to the bucket of water that I'm putting back into the tank, when I use stress coat or smiler that is.
