I know the one i looked at was still there last time i looked but i think i got offside with the main fish person at the shop when i questioned if it really was what they said. Shame too cause i was getting some real good deals from them. Was the price on it $200 kiwiplymouth? THe one i looked at had a price of $200 but they said i could have it for $100

They are gone.. My bolivian ram fry wasn't this hard to keep alive. It's ok though they seem to lay every 2 weeks on a Thursday night. I should have some more wrigglers tonight or tomorrow. And with every failed attempt i will become more and more prepared and learn from it

Sweet brineshrimp hatchery is up and running. Still heaps of bubbas in there and they are all fully swimming around. seem to be doing it alot better than yesterday too :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Cheers Jc, I'm hoping not to loose too many. Yesterday was the last time using the meth blue, was told to use it till they start free swimming and have to say i lost probably under 10 wrigglers before they started swimming. So you reckon start hatching the bbs now? I thought they may be a lil small for it but they have gotten alot bigger

Hi guys As i mentioned above i have liquifry and BBS. Is this all i need? Or should i get something else for in between the 2. I know they won't be able to eat the BBS for a couple of weeks Don't know if my attempt of making green water is working or not. How long should that take? and i read in another post to put a lettuce leaf in water out in the sun. hope thats correct. Anyhow the babies are doing good, Hardly any casulties during the wriggler stage so fingers crossed

Sure dixon we will see what happens. Long way to go yet, I might even give my bolivian rams another go at breeding, tank they are in at the moment is too busy for that to happen

Will do Another thing i was meant to ask, How long should i keep them in the container, its 2 litres. It's so convenient to do water changes with it set up the way it is, so i have been doing this every day to keep the water fresh and adding fresh meth blue Thats alright eh

Yay me, The parents Laid the eggs 3 nights ago when spoon was picking up a fish from me, Placed the stone with eggs on it in a container with meth blue and an air stone. It's about the 5th time the parents have laid and thought maybe he was sterile or something. There seem to be quite a few at this stage over 100 i know that much, Hardly any went white and the few that did i managed to get the bad ones out. We have liquifry for food and later on BBS hopefully they make it to that stage wouldnt mind getting some green water sorted. Anybody have any other little tips and tricks which may help in keeping these guys alive? Also should i keep putting meth blue in the water or is this mainly for the egg stage keeping them from going bad Any tips welcome Thanks

Have you thought about a Euroview 90? This tank is just over 200L. I'm no expert on tanks but we got quite a good deal for our one. Well i think so anyway I think the rrp for mine was like $280 we managed to get it for $190 And the stand was $150. I know those other set ups are pretty pricey (people may think mine was too) But i think with this sort of tank if you don't mind 200 litres Then you can buy the lighting and filtration you really want and save on a bit of money maybe?? 2 things i'm not into on mine are the 3 piece glass lid and the cabinet instructions one page and the only writing i got was in asian. http://www.aquaone.co.uk/Euroview_aquarium.php Just another suggestion

I have 2 blue rams and 2 bolivian rams May have more blues if i can succesfully keep these eggs alive. Bolivians have spawned a few times and had success with there fry but all of a sudden they stopped spawning and are always hiding don't really understand it, but thats another topic will post a pic of the Bolivians when i get a nice pic

So i been waiting all day for the Chch to Aucks flights to become available. Hit the refresh 250 seats available each way.. Silly me though thought right then. Hmmm my sisters haven't been down here yet maybe i should get them seats instead of me going there for once. Thought ok i got plenty of time.. Boy was i wrong. Rang my sis up to let them know 5 minutes later finally got them to say yes. 5 minutes to late by the time i got off the phone only 80 seats remaining and i couldnt find a flight for 3 people to return. Within 5 minutes SOLD OUT!!! I'm feeling pretty bumbed out now Anyone here manage to grab a $10 flight anywhere over the past 2 days?

Cool thanks for all the ideas will give them a try. Tanks in the lounge and we don't burn candles or anything or it's not near the kitchen, I'm guessing after what people have said probably to do with the feeding and not taking enough water out. But you learn from these things Cheers
