  1. Mod = Warren: No discussing Trademe!! We can not get them any more as the importer Petware are not importing any in at the moment due to the high USD and the retail cost is a premium due to them been made in the USA. They are the best cages on the market and we can vouch for that as we have them for hiring out for airline use and do get abused. We have had a lot for sale in the past as some customers like the quality of them. What size are you looking for? Regards PPS
  2. FWIW....The Aqua One is the same as the Atman, made by the same factory and rebranded as Aqua One. And by the way, you would have no show of buying "any" quantity of Atmans from the factory as the Kongs have it sown up. You can buy the Atman products off secondary buyers, say for the China 240volt market. But the plugs are different and by law you are not allowed to use adaptors in NZ. I know :-)
  3. I have about 4 x 15kg sacks of ceramic noodles for sale
  4. is the inlet tube on the inlet and visa versa?
  5. What I said was that if you are "commercially" selling any electrical product in NZ then you have to, by law have the Aust/NZ cord and plug and are not to use "adaptors. (Electrical Safety NZ) Why some of these sellers sell with the Chinese cord and plug is that they buy the local Chinese domestic product as they can not go to the Jebo factory and ask to have the Aust/NZ cord and plug as they have an agent in NZ and will not sell to them. Private sellers on TradeMe may be selling the one off with the China or any foreign 230-240 volt product with adaptor, but shouldn't do so. Also some people go to an electrical supplier in NZ and buy an Aust/NZ cord and plug and replace the foreign unit....however this is suppose to be done by an electrician with that certification.- Recent standards are that the Aust/NZ pins on the plug must be insulated half way. This is why importers that bring in the correct product for that country have to sell for more as they have to have the correct paperwork.
  6. Hi, I have said many times that is actually illegal for anyone to be commercially selling electrical products with any overseas plug and having to use a NZ adapter plug. This is can void your insurance of your house if you have a fire or at least the accessor can use it against you and not pay out!!!!!! These people from that way that bring these in on the cheap and sell on TradeMe.... You can request the Aust/NZ plug with the Australian electrical standards certificates, (that is why there are the certificate numbers imprinted by the pins on the NZ plug) however you will find that if these buyers went to the Jebo company and ask for the Aust/NZ plug, they will not sell to them as there is a Jebo authorised agent in Aust/NZ. They are then only able to purchase on the domestic China market. Hence the China pin pattern. So these so called importers bring in these imported electrical products, then its buyer beware!!!!!!
  7. Hi Alan, It is made by Chuangxing Electrical in China http://www.chuangxing.com.cn/en/about.asp and is a copy of the Eheim Professional. (they have the ribs cast in the corners). This company's branding is Atman. Also make the Atman CF type for inhouse (no ribs) and rename it Aqua One CF series for Kongs. They have tanks as well :-). I know because I travel to China often.:-)
  8. Looks identical to an Aqua One CF :-)
  9. I think you will find the Aqua Nova is a rebranded Sunsun for an importer in Australia. You can not exchange NZD for Yuan as a business transaction. That is why why they quote in USD and we pay in USD exchanged from NZD. Also when they receive your USD and exchanged back to there yuan, they used to get an extra kickback for export from there govt. Yes, it is correct some subsidies have been removed used to be 8% for some products.
  10. GOSH...re the TM advert on that tank......the english language description was terrible. I bet if there was problem and you went back for a warranty claim, they would say noo understandee what youu mean!!!!!! Fly by nighters.....
  11. the one fineartist mentioned on the first post looks like a Jinlong, some were imported by Brookland Aquarium as well and sold in some pet shops. I believe they may not be selling them now.....can someone correct me if they know???
  12. FWIW.....a real cheap price for sale in NZ...means it was real cheap to buy in China = junk :-) The saying is...You have to pay a pay a good price for a good product. This applies for anywhere in the world. The problem is some fly by night "importers" tend to buy the cheapest and flog off on TM making it hard for someone trying to sell the good product legit :-) Oh, by the way check to see if the plug and lead is NZ or Aust certified (stamped on the face of the plug), a CHINESE plug or in fact any non Aust or NZ plug with a NZ adaptor is actually illegal to sell in NZ. If not sure of certification, then ask the seller as he has to have the paperwork for the electrics. Insurance implications!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. only rated for 300 litre tanks not 500 :-) The CF1000 is 250.The rating is wrong on the side of the carton.
  14. The Animates chains have been sold to Jansens who in turn have been bought by PetBarn Australia with the helping hand of Masterpet. As Animates were outbid for Jansens by the "consortium" they really had no way to expand anymore up in Auckland. Look at this way if Animates had the Jansens chain then they would have enough stores to import bulk product from overseas eliminating some NZ wholesalers = no sales. The trend overseas now is for a company to import and then sell through there own retail stores.....they get a bite of all the apple. You may find in the future, maybe the "consortium" will have many large format stores in Aust and NZ and possibly then list on the stock market for the owners to "get out" with plenty of money. You find overseas because of the large format stores, the small normal pet shop fails to exist, unless it specialises and the large stores charge what they want ala Wal Mart scenario.
