It has 2 x 12v 7 AH batteries, but in series, so its 7 AH at 24 V... 20 watts at 24 volts is 0.83 amps 7 / .83 is still ~8.5 hours.. so no change in the outcome.. but you are halving the current by using a higher voltage

Thanks for the complement I guess you mean one of those fish won the best in show? Which fish won? The golden pleco? Unfortunately i didnt make it back yesterday as i had something else crop up (as stuff does) .. and today i was left with an hour till the closing time.. and i assumed by the time i got there things would be being disassembled.

Thanks, im almost tempted to come down again today as i didnt photograph everything.. and those killis need a lot of work to get sharp pics as they are so small and dont like to stay still for long. Wow, cant be upset with a turnout of that number.. Hope the even breaks even or makes a profit to help with the next event. I saw the raffles.. didnt have much cash on me unfortunately.. would love a co2 setup.. but i never have much luck with raffles. maybe ill convince the gf we need to attend the auction.

Im a bit of a lurker.. have only had a tropical tank for a few months now.. and like to read the forums to see whats up. I attended the show today and thought it was great.. there was a steady flow of people (i was there for a few hours snapping some photos) Well worth a visit if you are around the waikato.. take some non-fishy friends.. If it keeps up the way i saw it operating it should be a real success... There was so many lovely fish that i now need to work out what they were..
