Yay cute guinea pig :slfg:  One tank has been filled, and over the next couple of days I will move a pair of trifasciata into it. The other one will be used for the neons, but I still need a peat filter, breeding traps and something to cover the tank with.

Considering I used to just run one 2213 on that tank, it is way more than double the original flow rate.
  4. You'd need a glass thickness of no less than 15mm for a tank that huge.
  5. I LOVE the photo of the seal and the one of the skink

Just added an Eheim Classic 2215 on to my 140L blackwater tank. And I still have my two 2213's running too! I now have something rediculous like 10.7x turnover The fish don't seem to be bothered by the extra flow
  7. Oh my goodness Dan these are looking fantastic!!! !drool: Brilliant work :happy1: I'd love a pair but I really should have a seperate tank for them. Hopefully, if I manage to succeed with the neons, I can then move on to the tri's and these guys. I have three tanks now so I will be able to remove parents if necessary, and there won't be other fish in the same tank as the breeding fish and fry I saw some at Organism. John had both males and females and I was extremely tempted, but I didn't have enough money for them on top of the hundreds of dollars worth of equipment I was buying. And like I said I currently don't have enough space. Both the new tanks are going to be used for neons. Damn, don't you just hate it when you see awesome fish that you want to buy, but you know that you don't have any room or money for them?
  8. I even joined a while ago so I could comment on his tank  :slfg: :happy2:
  9. Check out some of these  Most of them have all the equipment hidden in the stand. http://www.nano-reef.com/featured/ This is my favourite !drool: http://www.nano-reef.com/featured/?tank=62
  10. Well the tank is loaded with acropora. From what I've read they need quite a lot of light
  11. Check out thise acropora tank that uses 10K XM Halide bulbs! Not a nano, but it just shows that you don't need to use fancy lighting for some corals to get them to look nice http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2007-12/totm/index.php The blue T5HO's are used as moonlights and do not run while the halides are on.
  12. Check out Nano-Reef.com  Awesome site
  13. Excellent work! I'm so happy for you

    Crypt Tank 2.0

I don't have any space in my room!!! Grrrrrr. Your other photos on Flickr are great
  15. Awesome tank! I'd only put one pair/trio of Apistos in there. Any more and they will probably fight. I've tried to put two pairs in a tank similar in size to yours and they were aggressive towards each other. However, you should be able to get away with keeping a pair of macmasteri and a pair of trifasciata together. I've found that these two species will coexist happily. But I'm not sure whether the mac's would bully the rams or not. Just try one pair/trio of Apistos for now and see how you go  Also I highly recommend trifasciata - great personalities, very colourful and they are also very active too and they don't hide away at all.
  16. :slfg: I'm sure this has been posted on here before... I remember reading it ages ago. It's still hilarious though
