  8. an update some growth in the purses, about 1/4 to 1/3rd of the yolk sac left now and babies are growing
  9. How are you getting water from tank to sump, drilled hole and overflow?

  15. I have had problems with scoria in the past and only use coral rock now,
  16. Rock from the shore is not porous enough to support much bacteria for the nitrogen cycle.

Is the 'live rock' from the beach or coral rock from a marine tank? you have started a new tank off with a bio load and very little bacteria to complete your nitrogen cycle twice weekly 25% water changes will help to keep ammonia levels down for at least the next 2 months the red crab will eat everything in there, the shrimp and cats eye snails will help to clean up uneaten food and algae
