  1. apparently you didn't think this through you are basically buying a ferrari but wanting to run it on CNG or diesel if these are young leps then what they are raised on while they are developing will determine the quality of the breeding animal you have later on and also the quality of the progeny you sell you may need to bite the bullet and either pay for feeders or make the time to breed your own
  2. genetically recorded so you know where they go back too close ring and registered so record is straight
  3. kea, kaka, kakariki thsat i have seen for sale on the web i think it will be surprising what is in overseas collections http://www.answersingenesis.org/creatio ... uatara.asp
  4. not just a food source if our birds werre bred in captivity, close ringed, DNAed then sold overseas revenue could be brought back in to sopport release to the wild and predator trapping % for release to wild % of money to registered breeders % to support conservation work making our birds and reps available overseas will help cut down the smuggling trade
  5. they are still operating once the first batch reach saleable size then each year it rolls on
  6. tried to suggest this a few years back and got shot down in flames if done poperly it will work needs to be tightly controlled or stock will be taken from the wild for a black market trade anything where humans are involved is open to exploitation

yes 20 plus years ago made my own, nothing available at the time good for getting those interesting blennies out of the crevices in the rocks also used an inner tube with a fine net tied inside it to tow behind me saved going back to unload a catch plastic bags punched full of fine holes and a hoop in the open end propped between rocks then pulverising a kina etc inside it worked well to catch things as well
  8. sadly i have seen bristlenoses and other tropicals thrown in ponds outside because people were told they were cold water they didn't make it through winter
  9. i can see both sides of the fence i am sitting on and can understand where both are coming from P44 is only trying to correct a misconception conjured in any novice reading your post and assuming there is a variety of coldwater BN in the same token you have explained your situation before and could possibly construe it as being an attack maybe the use of the 2 words together is what caused the reaction and could be changed your tanks are not truly coldwater being inside, neither are they tropical either, more of a temperate tank sometimes it is good to sit back and look at what we are posting from someone elses point of view before we hit the submit button or make it a PM instead
