  1. Whoops!! Will update kiilifish classes in the next couple of days :oops: We would love to see a marine section but are only willing to have marine tanks not indivaul fish therefore this allowsthe marine trophie to be rewarded.

National fishshow 2007 When - 19th to 22nd October 2007 Where - Hamilton Gardens , Hamilton After a couple of years break i am delighted to annoce that a full national fishshow is happening 19th to 22nd of october at the Hamilton Gardens, Hamilton. The aims for having a fishshow is promote our hobby of fishkeeping, promote our NZ waterways and share knowledge and experince about our hobby with fellow hobbyist. We have been delighted with the responses of other interest groups and retailers. Along with entrys from FNZAS members there will be displays from DOC,native fish displays, Reptile displays, Butterflies, National Aquarium , Ponds aswell as stands promoting events and interest groups. The Plan 19/10/07 - Benching of fish from 9.00am till 9.00pm. Show tanks will be pre heated ready for fish 20/10/07 - Judging to be done early morning. Show open at 10am till 5pm to public. Prize giving and dinner at a venue to be confirmed for this night as i feel that it important that we reconise the efforts of everyone at the fishshow especially the entrants.Details to be confirmed 21/10/07 - Show open at 10am till 5pm to public. Will be having Auction and dinner at venue this night .The auction is for FNZAS members only to encouge people to join the FNZAS.Onthe fishshow entry forms you will find a box to indicate if you would like to auction your entry otherwise please let the Waikato Aquarium Soc know if you are bringing items that you would like to auction. 22/10/07 - Show open 10am till 2:30pm. Debenching from 2.45pm till 9.00pm What fish can we enter ??? This is a full show so therefore our aim is to get as many types of fish there as possible.Below is a list o the FNZAS trophies and the classes that willb competing for these trophies.   9. Yep it is that time of year again, the dreaded AGM. This is when we reflect on the past year but also focus on the upcoming. It is also a chance to put ideas forward or even become a committe member. We will be presenting a few club trophies as well as certs from last months tank crawl. I hope to see as many Waikato club members there as possible at the AGM 06/05/07 at 6pm , waikato brigde club clubrooms, 56 brookfield st , ham east. The waikato club is having its second anual tank crawl this Sunday22/04/07 Starting at 9:30am at 7 mt batten place, dinsdale, hamilton Tank crawls are a great oppinunity for fellow hobbyist to gain knowlege, view and share ideas on the many different aspects of fishkeeping.   12. I as per every year am looking forward to confence 2007. I am sure as i have seen that Hawkes Bay will be great hosts and it will be a enjoyable weekend. I am sure that you will see a good showing from the waikato Club who will be providing packs for national fishshow 2007 in Hamilton.   16. Next club meeting on Sunday the 4th of April there will be an auction. So please bring any of your fishy type things along that you would like to auction. Next month we are also going to have our secound of our anualtank crawls so there will be a discusion about that along with a updateon how we are progressing with the National fishshow Asalways everyone is welecome and bring a plate for supper Dave
  17. This month we have decided to take advantage of this good weather and instead of our monthly meeting we are having a summer BBQ at my place. So this is happening sunday 04/03/07 at 6pm at 2 Sequioa Place, Pukete, Hamilton .What to bring well whatever you like in the way of food and drink .This will be a great opininity to have a good catch up and talk informally about anything from fish to fishing As always this invite is open to members of the FNZAS aswell asnew members interested in our club.   18. First club meeting of the year this Sunday 11/02/07 at the Waikato bridge clubrooms, 56 Brookfield st, Hamilton East 6pm The doors will be open from 5:45pm. As per usaul if everyone could please bring a plate to contribute to supper. This months meeting will be a genraul catch up, Tales of the molly hunt but most important alot of focus on the national fishshow in october 22nd to 24th this year.   20. Thank you everyone who came down to the molly hunt. As you will see by the photos that will no doudt b posted in the next few days it was a aswsome day. Ialways enjoy getting together and meeting fellow hobbyist even if it does include a bit of mud throwing , siting, getting stuck but to see everyone have such a good time is very satisfifying. As for the moolies they seem to be in good condition sometimes wary or was it just me getting stuck in the mud. rust everyon has travelled safely home and i do look forward to the next FNZAS event Dave
