  1. the temp is at each end at the bottom and the thermostat probe is in the middle at the top
  2. Hi we have just setup a 4ft reptile one bearded dragon tank and the temp at the the warm end is 38*c and the cold end is 24.5*c. the thermostat is set to 29*c How do i even out the temp a bit more?? Thanks
  3. yes i have good lids but there is still no killies to jump out

  7. I have decided to get back in to killies and have setup 3 tanks in the stand of my African Cichlid tank. Now all i am missing is the Killies.... So what do you think? (water level is low due to living in Christchurch)
  8. Here are a few photo's of my new African Cichlid tank and fish. This will be there home for about the next 6 months then they will be going to there new tank (7FT 800L) There are Frontosa Demasoni Electric Yellows And a couple of other that i will be moving to another tank. So what do you think? (water level is low due to living in Christchurch)

It sounds as though you know the person with them, so would you be able to ask the person with them if they could take a few photos and pass them on to you so that you could post them on here for us to see them. That way we will never know who has them but atleast we would get to see these amazing fish here in NZ. thanks

  13. you will need to keep the males/female separate for about a week. Tank will be fine and a big spawning mop or 2 floating from the top down in the breeding tank, you should be able to notice eggs after 2-3 days then either remove the parents or the mop whichever is easier. feed the fry on crushed flake or microworms etc...
  14. Yes i am using that now for chch tap water. somewhere around $40 for 250ml - 5ml treats 200L of water very very cheap
  15. Haha if they will be open soon they must be moving cause their current building has broken floor - roof - walls and is still full of silt

  21. I was at work (south city New World) when it hit had to close the shop for over 3 hours while we cleaned up here is a photo of isle 3 (we had already been cleaning for about 10mins) this was the 3rd worst isle.
  22. NO do not rinse it you will wash away the fertilizers and have a big mess
