theres a few but good luck finding them, everyones looking for them. I have figure eight puffers in a community tank and they arent nippy at all. But eat fish that are the same size or smaller

im trying to find a substrate that is finer than small pebbles but not as fine as sand so it doesnt get sucked up by gravel vac. im picky

From everyones experiences, What have you all found to be the most efficient Algae Eaters? Spread out through my tanks I have chinese algae eater, plecos, Bristlenoses and snails. But none seem to do as good as a job as my little blue magnet Any help appreciated

Sweet. So you reckon just paint it on the tank wall? Hmm, i dont really wannapull my tank apart tho lol and its pretty tight to the wall. What sort of paint? And i could justtry painting it on poly or paper etc ay?

Who's Done what for Tank Background? Is there any websites you cant print one off? Or has anybody had a go at making their own? Also, for a plain colour background, which colour is best?

Hey all I just aquired two "Good Size" Silver Dollars off trademe. Just a few quick Q's. They will eat all plants in my tank right?(Including Java moss and java Fern?) Will they get along with Tiger Barbs and Kribensis that arent too big? Or do they eat smaller fish? Thanks heaps

cheers One more question Once its completly sunk and no longer needs rocks, does that mean it will always be like that? So if i take it out of my tank for a few days it will sink wen it goes bak in?

I want to make my tanks look more colourfull and in some of my tanks, planting plants into substrate isnt an option. So i wanted to know what sorts of plants can grow on other surfaces such as driftwood. For example Java moss. What else? Thanks heaps

What i thought (anyone feel free to correct me) was that if you collect san from above the high tide line then its less likely to have bits of shell in it and a lower salt content too. you will still want to rinse it though

Does anyone have any good places in canterbury to find good substrate? I'd like to hear about all sorts but what im specifically after is something a bit bigger than sand but finer than the small pebbles at birdlings flat

Hey all I would like to change my substrate in my 4 foot tank from big, ugly, yellow, sharp stones to fine,dark stones. It has my knifefish and pleco in there at the moment. Does anyone have a quick way to change the substrate? By quick i mean once i take the fish out to do it, i need 2 get the tank back up and running ASAP as the fish will probably be going into a bucket wile i do it Thanks
