the tank has been completely put together and had doors put on. now all that has to be done is painted and put a floor down inside stand. Should i insulate the inside, if so what with?polystyrene? Because i am having tank inside the stand and i thought if it was insulated the heater wouldnt be running as much.

i might see if it can go out side my window and have a small pond pump carble through a gap ion the window with a lock just to be sure.

Can you have 80L ponds with 3-4 comets without filtration. just plants?

i dumped heaps of plants in there. Now both the fish are in the corner by the nest doing nothing

What do yours make the bubble nest in? And is it normal for a male to chase the female round the tank for ages whe they have been put together?

I have just released the female into the tank with the male. He is just following her round flaring. no attacking or anything is this normal/ok? and when will they spawn?

i think a nymph is a deformed or hybrid fish.

i cleaned the tank yesterday cos it had heaps and heaps of algae but now its spotless. The male has now built another bubble nest should i add the female now? And do i need a light on during spawning? Im trying to make the algae stay away so im doing a 5day blackout.

or you could get a guppy hatchery and just raise a few.

i have stopped now. I am trying to set up the new tank next weekend because it still needs to be painted. and i will try get some bio-noodled from someone to kickstart the cycle in my fluval 404. as i dont want to use media from my interanl incase this is a disease.

I destroyed these fish about 2 weeks after my last post on this topic. I have since been given 8 neons and 2 of there lines faded almost completly so i isolated them and they died.( ithink they died of lack of oxygen cos the tank was 29degrees and they were in a small container. I think one more neons red is starting to fade. What should i do now? It is a 70L tank and In the tank i have some BN, hoplos, corys, kuhlis, dwarf loaches, glowlight tetras, black widows, head and tail light tetras, blue rams and some others. and all the other fish appear very healthy. Any ideas? I have no idea what to do.

I would only put in 1/2 of one twice a week.

i got a fat female today and is sitting in a floating multi hatchery so the male can see her. The male has 2 bubblenests and he is swiming around the sides of the hatchery and flaring heaps. What do i do next?
