I only like the Malayan Trumpet Snails, They eat algae off the glass and plants at night and during the day they turnover the substrate

I am in the planning stage of setting up a 4foot planted discus tank. So i would like to see what other people have done with theirs.

What size tank did you use Navarre? And how big di you raise them to in it?

Do discus like tannins in the water? Im planningon having quite a bit of wood in there.

So just an airstone or 2? What temp would be best? And at what size could they be moved to a 250-300L planted tank with tetras and catfish?

I started off with 2male 2 female.The first male disapeared then i found a dead female,then my large albino cory died and i saw the area around its anal fin was red then the 2nd female emperor was the same(dead with the red area) and i have just found my last male dead,and just yesterday i saw him with a red area in the smae place(alive though) Any ideas what could have done this? The other cory and other fish are all ok.

Ok, Sponge filter or internal power filter? And Daily water changes? And any specific Ph level? I want to get this right.

I have a 3foot tank i am going to grow out some small discus(around 3cm will be bigger by the time i get them) in a couple weeks to get them ready for a larger planted tank, What do i need in the growout tank? Ive got a heater and a filter(what is best? A sponge filter or internal filter),What else do i need?
