Guess that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It's just common sense.
That was a mission and three quarters to read. :-?

The other option would be to head to a Kitchen Manufactuer, see if they have any off cuts of Melteca.
Then you wont have to paint it either
Would just need the little bungs that cover the head of the screws.
That would be so easy cause one of my dads best mates owns a big kitchen manufacturing business.
But he is away for the next 7 days with dad on a fishing trip and i want this done asap

Yup, the second one, don't use treated timber, could leach smells etc into tank?
Its going to be painted and probabaly sealed anyway

Can anyone tell me if either of these woods would be strong enough to build with? :-?

Good Luck with it, would love to see a photo when you have it all finished :bounce:

I suspect it to be Cladophora algae - happy to be corrected on this. (that is if it is what I think it is, cant really tell by the pics).
I would say that type is not Cladophora, the pics on the net show Cladophora as an algae that kinda comes out all matted, But the stuff in her pic(the same that was on my bogwood) its actually hard to pull off and its like Black beard algae
only green

Personally I would remove the 2 pieces of wood you have on each end
Then at a later date, you could screw MDF directly onto your the stand's Back and sides, you could even put cupboards on the front with shelves mounted on the inside.
I had already planned on putting cupboards and shelves in
Hmm i was gonna put a thin cover sheet over the end anyway. I might aswell just put thick mdf on
-
Would i NEED the wooden pieces at the end lik on this one?
