I have daphnia growing perfectly in animal troughs around the farm. I dont seem to be able to move them and have them flourish - anybody have any "secrets?"

Have a lot of fry. I have them in a heated container of about 30L. Have a sponge filter and feeding bbs. When should I move them to a bigger container and how big should it ideally be?

thanks for that. Will keep you posted as to progress from hereon in. I think these are good genetic lines but only time will tell. Its a numbers game really I guess. Rest assured your advice does not go unheeded. Thinking ahead - bbs the best food for fry?

OK so here is another (probably stupid) question. Why wouldnt you use a biological filter made for a pond? eg a small fishmate or something?

3 foot - two lights - both say "tropical" - one is "fresh water" and the other "plant growth" ?? I am no expert here!!

I totally agree - I dont have a problem with selling fry but I do with not representing them accurately.

not so much the size but that a large proportion will end up being nymphs.
