Other options would include the Atman UV which is basically the AquaOne 2400 with a UV bulb. I wish I could recommend the Fluval FX5 but I am hearing too many bad things from owners. I was looking at getting a aqua one 2400 with a seperate UV. Would the UV lamp in the Atman 2400 with th 5 watt UV have enough guts for a tank 400 litres??

Hi every one, im having issues deciding what filtration to use on my new tank that im setting up. Its a 350 litre tank that im having made, im not wanting a fully planted tank but going to have amazon plants in it, with the intention of possibly planting it in the future. Fish im gonna have in it are Discus, cardinals. blue rams, clown loaches B/N etc. As i see it have a 60 litre sump siting idle in my fish room which i can use or i can use a aquis canister filter or im even tossing up wheather to use a canister filter that has a in built uv light. Im wanting to put in a UV is that nessacary??. Any help would be great as this is gonna be my first effort at putting together a semi planted tank. Cheers

Hi, ive had two discus in one of my tanks bloat up and turn upside and die in the last couple of months. Dunno what is causing it, could it be bacterial? . Nitrate nitrite etc are all fine. i have 10 or so tanks in my fishroom with discus and this is the only tank it happens to. Any suggestions to why this is happening and ways i can stop it happening would be great, cheers
