8 months ish. The coral we put in had been in another tank for 2ish years so it isn't new coral doing what new coral does. Well I don't think so.

PLEASE don't turn this into the UV debate I have just read on another thread it did nothing but confuse me! We have a 190L tank which is going through a very 'brown' phase. We have a skimmer and a canister filter running. The fish/corals seem happy and all of the 'tests' come out fine. Will a UV fix the 'brown' (Sorry I have tried taking pics but it just turns out a blur) The coral is turning brown and the sand has a brown layer. This particular tank has been running about 8 months. So the BIG question ..... Will a UV fix the brown??

We have added some plants in behind the ship they are just ot small to see but according to the guy at hte shop they should grow quick and the left corner which is empty at the mo is going to be heavily planted. just have to wait until we go back to hamilton. The tank is an aqua one royale 90 which is about 180 Litres. As for which fish are going in that is still being debated

After months of saving and a late night last night we have set up our discus display tank No fish in it yet thats the job for the weekend. Transfering them from the old tank to the nice new one. I hope this photo works

We are just starting out with marines had the tank going about 6 months now so have decided to start 'adding' (We purchased an established tank so have bacteria etc It has been going about 18 months) We don't really know what we are looking for something that is 'easy' to look after etc We already have 2 oscelarious (I can't spell) clowns a maroon clown 3 chromis a pjama cardinal and a yellow tail blue damsel. We have heaps of room in the tank as I should fit 20 fish easily so something 'cool' to go with these guys. We have a bit of coral but nothing major.

We are heading up to Auckland tomorrow and will have time to 'pop' in on some shops. Maybe I will even be lucky enough to talk the other half into buying something new Where in Auckland are the best places to go??

Hi I am relativly new to marine tanks but am curious what is that blue and white big fish in the bottom of your tank? It looks very cool

We have tested for everything and nothing is showing up as 'bad' Have done a water change and put in tonic salt and melafix as well as crossing our fingers. All the fish were added at the same time as per the breeders advise. Th tank previously had angels in it.

We have 10 babies about 3/4cm in size we are doing daily water changes they are in a 3ft tank. Tank had been set up for tropical but we switched it to discus. We had it pumping ofr a month before we put any fish in and they have now been in it for 3 weeks. No other fish in the tank and it is 28 degrees

Hi we have jst got our fist few discus. One is frantically trying to stay alive and swimming on it's side. They were fine last night when we went to bed but now it's all turned to custard HELP!
