  1. do theses colour up when the are adults? had a look at the one in Hollywood, it would take alot to make it look powder blue. I will keep looking.
  2. JDM Not sure why you think I find it funny. Just trying to look on the bright side of having a loss. Maybe, when I am feeling frustrated/bothered, I like to go and purchase something, and what better than something new for the tank.... Isnt that why we got into the marine/reef system... the desire to have something special. Any way, I have seen my coral angel like yours, go right into the middle and feed on food/scraps from the mouth of mine, wouldnt be surprise if it ended up like yours... probably only a matter of time. If you like, I will take down my comment. MJ 8)
  3. like wise. went to look at the Naso, nothing like the blue on I saw. Maybe they go blue when they mature? Hope your Auckland trip works out well. MJ 8)
  4. dont know what to say............ maybe get them a guide dog?
  5. I heard of the disappearing fish thing..... but it is always a good excuse to "retail Therapy" with that other fish you have always wanted. Marine is great, but you can never really have all of the fish you want, so it is nice to have an excuse to try something new..... mj 8)
  6. oh well, thanks for your help, I will keep looking, I might have to settle for the powder blue tank, it is a colour that really appeals to us. mj 8)
  7. shaneo how long hav you been running your tank? is you BTA still alive?? MJ 8)
  8. this one was certainly powder blue, as per the photo/ mj 8)

  10. thanks, cant wait for it to all "grow up" a little bit.... keep watching it everyday... for the smallest sign of growth.. I am sure this will change. I can even see some of my frags growing, and my clam is bigger ( i am sure it is). Biggest grower is the anenome. How this will be ok to host the clowns when they are ready. mj 8)
  11. yep, Matakatia...down the right hand end, with the big tree over the road from us. Where are you? Coffee is aways on 8)
  12. no, that is the name I gave it, when I have talked about a blonde Naso, the feed back I get is they seem to only come in grey? This one was a bright powder blue. Mj
  13. worth a try... What about reef, I have heard that he imports.
  14. yes, it does make for easy NSW.... and live fish food.... I wonder what would like live sea food...???
  15. this was taken at the zoo, with my phone camera, so given the situation etc, it does the job. It is a powder blue Naso, how do I get one of these?
  16. this is better... I hope you appreciate the effort I went to to make all of the newbies feel comfortable posting their tank photos.. 8)
  17. there should be enought there in the tank. I have alot of rock, and it was crawling with "bugs" before i put him/her in. Looks very fat, but that might be the initial food fest. Will keep an eye on it. Any more new tanks to have a look at?
  18. there are alot more than I thought out there setting up tanks, or still on the learning curve, the steep part. I have white spot, and I am taking it personally. Not much I can do from what I have read, apart from making sure that all are well fed and happy. Coral beauty, comes and goes, thought I had it all cleared up, but then back again, an now my manderine is showing a few spots on the face..... not a good feeling to see them like that
  19. so, who would eat them, some of them get to a good size.
  20. Has anyone tried the clear shrimp found in the rock pools? I would have thought they would have made a safe clean up crew for the tank. Any thoughts
  21. ah, now I can see what you are up to. I bet you are feeling alot better now the green glow has gone. Must have made interesting discussion point with visitors... questions like "is it surposed to be like that Where is the skimmer? My Tank is clear in the mornings, then starts to get cloudy when I get home, but then I get a temp increase during the day, from 24C to about 27C. Is this too much of a temp swing?
  22. Wasp, is there every such a thing as too many, too much water changes? especially if you are using nsw?
  23. chimera still have that coral if you would like to give something a try, maybe a "canary down a mine "sort of thing.
